Quintino has been in fine form recently, releasing his full-length album ‘Bright Nights’ late last year via Spinnin’, with features from the likes of label bosses Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Cher Lloyd, and now he returns to Smash The House with his latest single ‘The Drill’. With previous releases, such as his Steve Aoki collab ‘Mayhem’, amassing over 40 million streams, Quintino has built up a loyal fanbase who wait with bated breath for their next fix of his music, and ‘The Drill’ is guaranteed to impress even his most loyal of followers.
The track starts at a fast pace, as a repeating synth stab runs above a low arpeggio which, in tandem with the beat, combine to give ‘The Drill’ a trance-like feel. A rolling bass chugs along, as the synth evolves from one note to a full lead in the breakdown, joined by a pad harmony that shortens in length before the driving beat returns.
Quintino has garnered a huge amount of attention with a string of high-profile releases in recent years and has had support from the likes of Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, David Guetta, Tiësto, Hardwell, Steve Aoki & W&W on previous releases. ‘The Drill’ is set to eclipse that and draw in more admiring glances from the biggest names in dance music.
