@@nxfedlt1 there’s always concern about a gaff or hook puncture but all I can do is try to be careful but I just deal with it when it happens.

A serious yellow fin tuna and a big lift to get it onboard - a good reward for 12 hours of trolling!!! I have a squid lure ( blue and white and about 8 inch ) and I have strung large alternating white and yellow beads on the leader from the hook. The squid lure slides down over the beads so that just the curve part of the hook is outside the lure skirt - the beads take up about five inches of length on the leader from the hook knot . This lure never fails to catch something and I think the addition of the beads makes it attract more fish. I use a circle hook as well - j hooks not so good for hook ups that hold. The leader is wire and a crimp fastening is used for the hook and the swivel end of the leader. The head end of the lure is lead ball weighted so that it sinks to about 10 feet at trolling speed.

what your total cost for the inflatable boat with all your gear? Also, how much maintence is it per month?
Approximately 13,000+ there’s very little maintenance per month mainly gas. Servicing my motor myself every 100 hours saves me some money
