I homeschooled my daughter until she was in the 4th grade. I used K12 and I was really impressed with the program. The only reason I stopped homeschooling is because she asked to go to public school. We don’t have a co-op in our area or if we do I never found one. I really enjoyed homeschooling her. She is now in 10th grade and she’s in all top level classes
What great resources!! We’ve used a lot of the same curriculums in our 21 years of homeschooling our 5 kids (starting year 22 on Sept 2nd 😁). We’re doing Master Books LA for both of my teens this year. One of my now graduated adult sons is on the spectrum. Processing was very difficult for him so reading was slow. We did a lot of DVDs for science and history as well as read alouds and a hands on approach for science too. One of his passions was/is auto mechanics so he got quite a few credits in that in his high school years. He’s 33 now and married. He became a truck driver, which was one of his dreams. He has thanked me so many times for the education that we gave him. It was such a blessing to be able to cater his education to his specific needs and to see him thrive! Have to say there was a ton of trial and error, concerns, and taking it to the Lord! I wouldn’t trade it for anything though! (And our youngest is VERY much like him so we’re traveling a very similar path with her.) God has a plan! I loved what you said in the end. Very encouraging. 💗Praying you have a wonderful year!! 🙏
I put our children in public school for high school because it’s intimidating. We have a graduate, and 3 high schoolers this year, our 9th grader does not want to go to public school. So this will be my first year homeschooling a highschool schooler 😅 I also have 8th,6th, 4th, 2nd, k, pre-k and 2 toddlers and new born in Nov. I’m running behind on curriculum planning and am feeling overwhelmed this year round. I love watching other mommas show that this is all routine and joyful. Thank you
This is my first time seeing a homeschool curriculum. This is so organized and I love all the theological learning. Thank you for sharing and I am so glad that I got to learn about this!!
We were supposed to use that same Morning Time this year, but I found out I was pregnant and decided to use an all in one curriculum, so next year. But it looks so good! I hope you enjoy it! ❤
I never homeschooled my children but it was fun to hear what you have planned for them. It is a God given talent to be able to teach your children at home!
Thank you so much for this video. It was so encouraging for me. My oldest just graduated from high school (Homeschool) and will be starting college as well. I am homeschooling my 11 year old daughter , who has learning difficulties. We are doing the same morning time too! I am excited to start that. I love your videos. Thank you!
I love this. I only homeschool my two youngest, 11 yo old girl and 13 yo boy. My older children are adults now. We use Sonlight, so we do LOTS of reading and I only combine them for morning time. Morning time is my favorite!! We do our Bible reading and journaling, scripture memory, current events and then we rotate one other practical learning or unit study. Currently we are doing an election unit. The only challenge I have is reviewing their work for feedback and corrections. I do it, it’s just not my favorite. Kudos to you for giving your kids a customized learning experience that meets each of their needs. I love all your videos.
Thank you so much! But you know I moved all the random junk from eyesight 😂🤦♀️🤣🤪 I’ve cleaned all day today and still haven’t gotten my room done. But the kids rooms look good 😊
Prayers for a blessed and awesome school year. No children at home empty nester. My husband teaches in the public system our 3 children were in public then Christian schools. I have taught in both. All are very stressful and time consuming, prayers for mommy as well. We have 11 grandchildren ages 17 down to 3.
Briggter day press She has nature study curriculum, reader journals, seasonal guides except winter and guides for holidays. She has 3 different morning time guides and water study but you sometimes have to search for that. Scripture reading cards for moms and a couple for family. Her website plays music too. Then she has free monthly picture book list you can download. One is just a list and the other format is a calendar. She also has watercolor classes. I have looked at her website a lot but havent used any of her stuff yet.
HAPPY Wednesday Jessica, family, and feathered friends. GOLLY GEE 11 CHILDREN TO TEACH. You GOT THIS...Hope you can get some video of a day of school. Hope you all have a GREAT SCHOOL YEAR! STTB🎒🎒🎒🎒
We are doing the same Brighter Day Press morning time this year! I love the al-a-carte that I have been doing, but I am excited for this change and to have it all layed out for me. I am also going to do the Autumn study with my younger ones and hopefully some of the holiday ones as well. We have been doing The Good and the Beautiful math for the younger ones as well and I like it. I actually switched my older elementary kids over to it from years of Teaching Textbooks. They had started showing gaps with TT around 5th/6th grade. We also love Dave Raymond's History!
Hey Jessica, I was wondering if you've ever done a video on how you do transcripts for your high schoolers. If you haven't , I'd be interested in either having you included it in one of your Q&A's or a video dedicated to transcripts alone. Thanks!
That’s a good question! I had to do one for Taylor, it’s fairly easy. A friend helped me. I submitted the grades she had for each class she has done and figured out her gpa.
This is amazing! So thankful I found your channel. I took my son out of public school in 4th grade. He is autistic and it has been quite the journey for the both of us. We are entering 9th grade this year and your resource for IEW…I wish I had found this before I bought his Abeka for Language 🤣 but Ill will have to do both. Also have 2 toddlers and a baby so Im curious to see how this will go homeschooling various grade levels. Im sure you have a video on here somewhere breaking down HOW you do it. Im very interested to learn from someone experienced 🙏
I'm curious since it sounds like the co op your family is part follows Charlotte Mason's philosophy and uses materials that align with it, have you eve used the same at home?
It is a charlotte Mason co-op. We do some things but I’m not a purist. I’m more eclectic and do what works best for us. I appreciate the Charlotte mask. Philosophy and try to incorporate more and more.
Can you let me know which of your videos went through your strategy for potty training? My grandson is at that age and I want some tips for helping his parents with that. I keep him while they work.
I don’t think I’ve ever done a video on potty training. I wait until they are showing signs of being ready 2.5 seems to be a good age for us. Then lots of frequent trips and treats for going in the potty, lots of praise. I have read books to them too (of potty training) and we have an Elmo dvd where Elmo learns to potty 😂 which seems to help
I have been looking at Dave Raymond for a while now and I just can't make up my mind. Do you plan on having him also read the textbook along with the videos? I think my son would not want to do both.
I’m planning on him watching the videos and orally narrate to me what he learned. Every so often have him write a paper on what he learned. The text that goes with it is good. But prob too much and I’ve heard the video component is good and thorough
lol this question. I have yet to meet a single person on this earth who can answer all questions. I am also a homeschool mama and you can literally find any answers you have on the internet if your child has a question about school work that you can’t answer. I can assure you none of my public school teachers knew the answer to everything that was asked. It’s no different with homeschooling
@@merediths9667 I’ve heard this question a lot. I think a lot of people assume that in a traditional school, teachers have gone to school and are equipped to teach and answer questions. Which makes sense. But as a homeschool mom we are also equipped to teach our children. As expensive as you would like it. There is a lot of free resources available or affordable options available too. Some curriculums are super expensive.
Jessica, where does the CO.OP TAKE PLACE? How long is your school year? Do you take VACA days like the school does? HI NATHAN, Hope you are healing, nothing missing nothing broken IN JESUS HOLY NAME AMEN AND AMEN
Hey!!! Co-op is 24 weeks long. Starts in September and ends end of April. We take the national holidays off bc the church we meet at is closed. We meet at a church about 30 minutes from us. We do take a longer Christmas break.

I am homeschooling a 10th, 7th, 6th, 3rd, 1st and a 2 year old keeping us all on our toes this year.
I was homeschooled from 2nd grade until I graduated 2 years ago. Good to see new curriculum and seeing what the kids are learning!
I homeschooled my three girls and now they are grown and married but I still love looking at curriculum! Have a wonderful year!
Sounds like an exciting year of homeschooling for y'all!! Thanks for sharing!!
Praying your homeschool year and Taylor’s first year of college goes smooth ❤

Love this video. Thank you for sharing. Could you tell me a little more about the online tutoring? Is that through someone local?
Yes, it’s local. It’s a huge help!

How expensive is homeschooling
As expensive as you would like it. There is a lot of free resources available or affordable options available too. Some curriculums are super expensive.
Who’s in the 12th grade
Probably Addison because she’s next in line
I hate Pilgrim progress, I find it odd they have that for high school as it was something we read in elementary school
