Thanks man! I have a 07 Tahoe LS 5.3 l without the existing trans cooler. The 40K cooler comes with one hose. Make sure you have a 2nd long rubber transmission cooling hose! I was about to start taking my car apart but double checking all my stuff,i need 1 more long hose! 👍 I brought 1 gallon of trans fluid too.
Turn it upside down with the nippels up, because right now you only have about 1/3 of transmission fluid in te transmission cooler and you could get a bubble, when its upside down he whole thing has fluid in it and cools better
What am I missing? I connected one side of the new cooler to the top port of the radiator like the video shows. I connected the lower transmission hardline that came off the radiator to the other side of the intercooler. Unless I missed it, the video doesn’t show what to do with the hole in the lower bottom radiator that the hard line used to be in.
The lower transmission hardline does not get touched. You only need to remove the top hardline. One side of the cooler goes to the top port of the radiator and the other side of the cooler goes to the top hardline
@wathig3913 u do nothing the bottom line is the line thats pumping out from the trans into the rad the top line then goes to one side of the cooler then the opposite side on the new cooler goes to the original top hardline which is the return to the transmission 👍🏼
i know this video is 3 years ago but i don’t have a little cooler like you and i have a guy telling me i need braided lines and that there no cheap and all kinds of stuff if mine is just like yours can i do it your way ?
Chevrolet Garage yup I was gonna take it to the shop but when they said 4 hrs shop labor just to install it I ran to UA-cam and said he’ll no I’m not paying that.
Do I need to get an extra hose? Mine only came with one but it doesn't seem like it will be long enough to do both since I don't have the factory external cooler already. Thanks!

Did you think about showing the full install or do you just hook up one hose and drive away.
No shit right? Half assed video

Really? Just wondering cause I’ve heard other people mention that also
Not true it can be placed up down side ways. I talked to a rep fro. Trucool 8/15/22
It shouldn’t matter as the flow of tranny fluid is pumped thru, not gravity fed.
So the top trans lines hose goes into the cooler and the second line goes back on the hard line?
Es todo Primo, te ahorrastes un billete en la instalación!!
Update to the age of Talkies!!
So everything you need doesn’t come in one single pack like in the cooler box and whats the link to order one?
I have a question... Why don't they turn the hoses upside down?
Why did you mess with the line going unti the radiator
Nice.. where does the top transmission line connected to the top of the radiator go to on the tru cool?
Thanks
How much cooler did your temps get down too
Which like goes to which side of the cooler
Sick ass truck 💯

Same but why do you connect back to it if it just returns back to cooler if u had the oem one ?
Did you figure out what to do with the old lower transmission hardline?
@wathig3913 u do nothing the bottom line is the line thats pumping out from the trans into the rad the top line then goes to one side of the cooler then the opposite side on the new cooler goes to the original top hardline which is the return to the transmission 👍🏼

I don’t have to add the lines on mine because I have the z71 tow package and have the extra factory tow cooler. But I want to put the larger one on.
3fiddy2720 Its even easier for you cause you already have the lines up in front
Chevrolet Garage yup I was gonna take it to the shop but when they said 4 hrs shop labor just to install it I ran to UA-cam and said he’ll no I’m not paying that.
fiddy could you post a link to the video of installing bigger cooler.
Does the hose just fit over the existing hard line, and the ridge act like a barb? Might be a stupid question, but maybe not.
You can use it as a barb if you can make the hose fit but I cut it off. It’s a low pressure system anyway. Still running strong.
@@JoseValencia-dc4jt awsome! thank you
Does your temperature rise when parked and idling..after installation?
Weird how it didn't have a stock cooler to begin with.
Is the cooler makered in an out ? What side goes where ?
Do I need to get an extra hose? Mine only came with one but it doesn't seem like it will be long enough to do both since I don't have the factory external cooler already. Thanks!
Sammy Torres Sorry forgot to mention that but yes you will need extra hose. I bought an extra 3 feet of transmission cooler hose at oreillys
@@JoseValencia-dc4jtI bought one too but mine is 4 1/2 does it matter? Do I have to cut it?
Did that quick fitting or whatever come with the cooler?
how is the truck running , did it lower the trans. temp?? thanks
Miguel Vaca Yes, dropped it to the 180s when usually I’d hit 210
@@JoseValencia-dc4jt THATS GOOD ! Thanks
So if i wanted to bypass the radiator cooler id just connect both top and bottom lines to the cooler
Yes Thats correct
I ran mine like that
Hello, sorry for the question. I have a 2012 silverado hd 2500. It has this temperature 🌡 142f, is it normal?
Yes thats a good temperature, anything over 210F you should worry about.
According to the local Chevy dealer normal operating temps for these trucks are 150-220ish , the check engine light will set off at 260
I think my speakers 🔊 went bad on my phone.
Se puede poner alrevez ? Las mangas hacia arriba ?
great vid. Thank you. I have an 07 Silverado 1500 z71 (new body style 07-13) I am going to purchase oneof these! Does this bypass the radiator?
Thanks. You have the option to bypass it but I did not bypass it. I still use it as a secondary cooler
@@JoseValencia-dc4jt Cool. Thank you!!
Do you need a Thermostat delete kit?
Good video, just for reassurance how many line fittings did u need? Only 1 right
MR_UNØ Thanks. Yes you are correct, only 1 fitting is needed
What did you do about the bottom tabs
No audio?
Does it matter which line connects to what?
Ya boy Jbonez On the cooler itself does not matter
Chevrolet Garage thanks bro
People be asking some DA questions
Will this fit on a 07 tahoe ?
Do you have to add more transfluid?
Yes
What drop you got
It's a 4/6 drop
Jose Valencia it hella clean bro you should make more videos
@@edwincarrasco1905 Thanks bro. I will try to upload more videos
Jose Valencia you should man 💯💯
So if my truck has the factory cooler right there do i just remove it and hook both lines up the same way from my factory cooler to the tru cool?
Thats correct. You will need to cut and flip the short line to make the left line fit to the 40k cooler
They never fkn tell you what line goes where
What you had to on the HD Hood , grill and bumper ? Im trying to do a HD conversion on my 2012 Silverado 1500
It all bolts right to it my dude! 🤘🏼 At least the hood and grill, I didn’t do the bumper just running the stock one.
Nick Hultman yeah bro the bumper is the only thing you need to modify
Fello_ GTO Yes you need to modify the bumper brackets to make it fit
What part number
Part numbers are in the description section
This comment is very Late but you actually installed upside down outlets/inlet should be in top in order to filter completely.
That might be, but the fittings are on the bottom from factory.
V6 or v8?
V8 5.3
@@JoseValencia-dc4jt si quema cuh
how much more trans fluid did you have to add?
What diameter hose did you use?
