One of the coolest things about living in Asia (Taiwan) There is virtually no crime and people are generally respectful. You can lose your wallet and it will either be there 2 hrs later or be given to the nearest police station. You buy breakfast and leave the money on the counter and are expected to take your own change from the change bin.... Women walk down dark alleys alone at 1am without even having to turn their head back if someone is behind them because there is virtually zero chance of rape or kidnapping or assualt...I can leave my door unlocked at night because there are zero robberies like ever..... that would never happen in the US
So, stay there and not here.
