Oh did you raise wild/not bred for complete captivity ducks? I’ve raised some of those and they eventually flew away. I was told a few years ago that ducks that were specifically bred to not fly away and be domestic are too heavy to physically fly away, while others are light enough.
@@evelyntheraptor8434 yeah I had a mix of muscovys an another breed and surprisingly they all flew away , even the 15kg one which shocked me but his wings were very powerful . He was the first to fly away
@@boopbop8728 Muscovys are pretty heavy, so the other breed’s weight genes must’ve been preeeeetty dominant for it to fly away. I have 4 Muscovys right now and they can barely fly across my ~100 meter pond before falling in… Edit: flying about 3 meters above the water’s top.
