Hi guys it is me who played the Rubab, i am afghan (turkmen) from the northern part of Afganistan, i live in Istanbul, my friend recorded this video, and the person who plays the tabla is an Israilian, it was a day i was sitting in my shop this guy saw the instruments and came inside the shop, started speaking he said he is learning tabla and he has been to India, we wanted to play something and this video is the result of our try🙂! his eyes dont see well, he was nearly blind, i felt sorry for him, this is the story, by the way i dont know musical notations i do it with my ears. I have been listening alot marhoom Ustad Mohammad Omar's playings. Regards to all!
hey guys, this is great, i really love it!!the two of u make a good team!! and now a message for "buru44"-this video is here so we can enjoy music not criticize ppl..because we are all the same, all one....music is like love, it has no boundaries, no colour, no race, no religion....trust me on this one.....the faster u digest this, the happier u get. even though i donno u, i wish u all the best!!
He is good, but out of tempo! Rubab is predecessor of Sarod, not its child. Sarod master Amjad Ali Khan mentions that in his Website: sarod-dot-com Gut (animal intestine) string was used until Nilon was invented. But still Gut is preferred by some players.
Who cares if you are an Israeli, Afghan, Turkish, Pakistani. The Melody is Amazing and I think the talent in this video is amazing!
I hate people judging music by the origin of the player. I agree with you
AFGHANISTAN and ISRAEL = Friendship Forever!
wa wa basir jan.. nice ....
very good as sarod is the king of all instrument so as a child rabab
these instruments are awesome!
Beatiful!
wow, very nice..
Music knows no borders!
This is a melody from the late Ustad Mohamad Umar that has been occasionally performed and taught by Homayoun Sakhi.

@basirbey Yes, please, add moe videos!
@xSobhan In your description box you said the tabla player is Israeli. Thats the country and the guy Im talking about.
@buru44 it's not my video and I still don't know what you mean. Are you insulting the israeli?
This is no indian song, It is the herati song "Leyli kodam ast ke nok-e bam ast"
Who is this Israeli? What is his name?
hhhhhhhhhhhhh
What is the tune called?
thanksgiving
Would have been nice if you can actually hear the beats of thr tabla instead of just ticking sounds.
@buru44 You never know he could be one of the few smart Israelis who consider them self as Palestinian not Israeli. He could even be Muslim.
@hkhan3 someone has a brain here nice post.
@buru44 sorry which country are you talking about and which man are you talking about.
