The proper tool for this kind of job is called a "spudger," a small plastic spatula used for opening devices like phones and toothbrushes without damaging their soft plastic construction.
I tried the twist turn way. Wasn’t working. Tried it your way, didn’t see the video at that point. Got it open but seems like this black rubber/silicone type band around the cap got ripped. Don’t know if it was a water seal or something. Opened it to try to clean or fix the power button. Wasn’t turning on. Now it’s turning on but not off :) but 2 min cycle turns it off.
Water in there will ruin the board. The gasket at the head end commonly rips. Check the gasket for leaks. The o ring is easily replaceable. Any automotive shop will have parts.
If "America's got talent" had a section for slow, ah, um, eh, talking, eh, you'd have a goot shot at a title... Seriously, thanks for instructions, but do consider this problem next time -- instead of 7.5 minutes, this could've been a 2-minute clip...
Valid critique. Analytics would agree with you. I'm definitely no pro, although in my defense, it was already opened in about 3 minutes, which really isn't that bad.
Very helpful. You do your thing at YOUR place. Much appreciated.
😂
Thank you very much!
I have the same one and realized that it couldn't be turned since the base was oval.

turning it CCW 1/16 of a turn with a proper sized screwdriver works better
