The armor on a stormtrooper is made for absorbing the blaster bolt. When you see a stormtrooper falling down after one shot, there is a slight chance that they could have survived.

Lore wise: It's because of the fact that the Kaminoans designed the armor, Kaminoans see in, (I think it was either UV or IR), different wavelengths than humans do, and painted them with a special kind of paint only they (the Kaminoans) could see . And so, to them, the stormtrooper armor is actually completely covered in a big blast of different colors and is perfectly camouflaged, but, to a human, you could pick them out of a crowd 1 million strong with no problem. And the reason this wasn't fixed by the Empire is because the white and black of the imperial stormtroopers was actually found to be very intimidating.
Now, if you want the ACTUAL reason why the armor is completely white, it's because the armour was made irl with a type of (?plastic?) material that is notorious for being hard to paint, and it took a really long time to make all the armor and they didn't want to have to make it all again.

In Star Wars, most of the time when you see a stormtrooper get shot, most of the time he actually lives, the armor serves to distribute the blast around the trooper’s body

Fun fact: in the first three og starwars films like a new hope, empire strikes back, and the return of the Jedi the storm trooper are always holding there e-11s on their left hand no wonder most stormtroopers have bad aim. They all are mostly left handed due to the prop being only used in their left hands. Oh, and the stormtroopers are using the wrong gun lol. Great video I want more of these keep up the great content.

Stormtrooper armour might be more effective than you'd think. It might not seem to be very good in the movies, but just look at combat armour nowadays. Against muskets it would be overpowered, but against modern weaponry it might save you from a few rifle shots. Now think about how well stormtrooper armour will work, armour from a space-fairing society where it's normal to have some sort of space transport, against modern, or in this case, medieval weaponry.

The “decrease” in the accuracy of the stormtroopers is because they first started as clone veterans of the clone wars, they were aging fast they were loosing their efficiency and the Kamino uprising didn’t help them because that would mean no more clones and started using recruits who weren’t so good
The British had bright red suits because their muskets produced a lot of smoke in battle so they had these bright suits so they could see who is on their team, the Americans and the French also did this.

Stormtroopers don’t die with one shot. When stormtroopers get shot the energy from the blaster bolt gets spread around the body resulting in the trooper getting knocked unconscious

The British had redcoats I believe as a form of a honor systems and when two army fought they could recognize who was who and camo was not really allowed this is at least what I think.

I'm not sure camouflage wasn't allowed,but trying to manage a Napoleonic battle with all the smoke and sound would be impossible
Red coats were red because when a musket fired it shot our a huge amount of smoke. You need to be able to identify if friend or foe quickly in smokey enviroments so red or blue work well. Canadians actually did wear green camoflage but both English and Americans shot them.
Also Storm Troopers are more of a Police force
The reason red coats wore red, was because when muskets fired they produced a large amount of smoke. When the opposing army was trying to shoot someone, they couldn't because in all the smoke, the red blended together. It is also rumored the coats were red so that if they got shot it wouldn't show they were bleeding.
I wrote a comment about this. The English Army underwent a military reform during the 17th century under Oliver Cromwell, who wanted to standardise the army. The cheapest colour of dye for coats was "russet", which is reddish-brown. As such, part of the "uniform" for this new English Army was a russet coat.
Over time, this "Russet Coat" evolved to be brighter and more distinctive, becoming the "Red Coat".
They may die but their guns don’t give up that easily.

Many times it has been recorded that storm troopers have taken multiple bolts from a blaster and still carried on, but I suppose Disney doesn't care

The clones white armor originally was meant to scare the enemy but later they did use camouflage when they realized the separatists didn't fear them.

The Stormtroopers had white armour over their black clothing underneath. This was a tactic by the Empire to try to make them seem like good guys, since the good guys never wear black. That is also why Darth Vader, who wore entirely black, was never seen by the general population.
There’s actually a cool lore about storm trooper armour, they don’t die, the armour essentially redistributes the shock throughout the body and knocks them out, so all those storm troopers that Han Solo gunned down where just taking a nap

Fun fact: stormtrooper armor was never meant to protect against direct blaster bolts they were made to eliminate secondary dangers like smoke, shrapnel, depres, blaster boosts coming a little to close without impact, etc so they die instantly but don’t worry about all the other dangers

Fun Facts: The Battle of Stamford Bridge was fought between Harald Hardrada who led the vikings and Harold Godwinson who led the English. The result was a decisive English victory. 2. Less than 3 weeks after The Battle of Stamford Bridge, William the Conqueror, who led the Normans, attacked Harold Godwinson at The Battle of Hastings. This time though Harold Godwinson lost the battle, leaving William as the winner. That would mean that later Harald and his stormtroopers would later need to defeat William.

actually few storm-troopers actually die in combat, their armor is designed to disperse the impact/heat energy across its surface, resulting in large bruises, and bone fractures at the worst, but usually rendering the trooper unconscious as a result.

Actually the stormtrooper armor is meant to protect against enviornmental conditions, they are basic ensulators and can protect against heat which was necessary because the empire was fighting across all terrain, it also did help protect against minor weapons and most importantly, shrapnel.

1. stormtrooper armor is designed to disseminate bolt rounds. A trooper might get knocked out, but the armor will save their lives. That's why you see stormtroopers still squirming after downed. They aren't dead, but injured or unconscious from the kinetic impacts of the plasma bolts.
2. Stormtrooper armor is white because they aren't a military unit, but rather peacekeeping officers, similar to the police. Same reason why police wear blue which isn't camo, for intimidation purposes and to be recognized and feared throughout the galaxy as a symbol of order. The Empire has its own army which actually fights in wars who have camo uniforms that blend in. Check Han Solo's war scene for reference.
3. Stormtroopers actually have amazing aim. The reason they can't hit the main characters is due to plot armor. It wouldn't be much a movie if Luke, Han and the Princess were all shot and killed in an instant. The ship breach scene at the beginning of A New Hope shows just how good of a shot these troopers are. There is the scene when Han tries on a helmet and says he can't see anything in them. That's because the helmets are ID activated with its owner and won't turn on its display if some random guy picks it up. The reason the troopers' aims are so good is that the blaster and the helmet are synced with auto-targeting. That's why they shoot at the hip and don't need to physically aim.
4. They are not firing lasers in the star wars universe. They are firing plasma projectiles.
If you didn't know, the British used to wear red because of Oliver Cromwell. During the British Civil War, Cromwell made his uniforms red because the colour was cheap. The colour then stuck around for many years
