Rather than cooking inside, we brought our camp chef and propane. It was fantastic to just cook on the top deck and enjoy the breeze and the view of the lake.

Water levels feel so scary when they are down. Lake Shasta has been very down for years, and each year was lower than the previous year. THIS YEARthe water level was so very high!! I cried, no I bawled, as we passed over (I-5) twice in July.
Seeing your pictures of Lake Powell hurts my heart.

This sounds reminds me of a past family houseboat vacation on Lake Shasta years ago. These are great for multiple couples, families to have a great time in and out of the water. Thank you for sharing!

There was a good long time when I definitely wouldn’t have gotten off the boat. It would have required too much energy and I hurt. I also would not have gotten in the pictures - because ai didn’t like seeing myself the way others might see me. I was in denial of how far I let things go. It wasn’t until I literally COULDN’T do it anymore that I finally came to terms with what I was giving up (my mobility) by complacently sitting by and letting that happen. I wish I had found Keto Chow earlier… because it has made a mountain of difference to my being able to sustain Keto. ❤ All the love…
Yes, yes! Pictures, I almost forgot, how I would always have to be in the back of pictures or not in them. I'm realizing now I need to just be me and not stress, just have a good time and enjoy my life. I also think that we need to be accepting of our limitations. I so often want to deny that I can't do something, but it is ok if I can't do that thing. I can be happy anyway. What a journey.

Girl you should go. The time before we did it in April and we didn't even get in the water (because it was so cold) but the fresh air and beautiful views were so awesome and refreshing.
I have always been an off the boat person but my husband is an on the boat person :)
And being on the boat is still just fine. I'm grateful he got on the boat and went out in the first place. Sometimes just getting out of the house is hard, right?

We play scum with our family too - it’s perfect cos even my grandson can play without having an adult help… we call it Presidents and Assholes though lol. (Using bad language makes it even more fun for the kids who aren’t allowed to say those words normally lmao)
