Breederbox / Refugium Modification and other ideas

This video discusses a modification to the hang-on breeder box using a sponge filter.
A refugium provides a safe place for your fish and other organisms. You can also use it an area to provide microfauna and other microscopic organisms safe from predatory fish. In turn the organisms can leave the fuge and move to the main tank. You can also have a Father Fish Resurrection Jar to keep plants, or can use it to seed other tanks. I am going to be moving it to a new African cichlid setup. This will allow to keep plants and micro fauna separate form the fish and provide extra biological filtration.
Advantages:
- Keep live food cultures
- like blackworms.
- Ostracods like scuds
- Safe place for plants
- Keep smaller fish that are pregnant or possibly inured
- biological filtration
