Having journeyed all the way from Uruguay, "The Amethyst" is a ten-foot-tall, deep purple marvel, and is now a part of the Peoria Riverfront Museum's permanent collection. That means it is on display year-round at the museum for you and your family to enjoy!
"The Amethyst" is a gift of the Oak River Foundation and Diane and Doug Oberhelman with support from Maggie and Steve Jackson, Gretchen Hagen Petrakis, Sid Ruckriegel and Andrew Rand, Sally Snyder, John Salch, and with assistance from Jeff Nelson of Nature Haven in honor of the 10th anniversary of the Peoria Riverfront Museum.
