- One of the most frequent video requests I have been getting is to make an updated map of the system and show where some of the changes have been made since the original map video from 2011ish. The wait is over, grab a coffee and have a look! Apologies in advance for rambling, this was originally going to be like a 5 minute video but I have no idea what happened and it ended up being almost 18 minutes long lol. Keep the questions, comments, and video suggestions coming, thank you everyone for watching and welcome to all the new subscribers. You guys rock!
the definition of "if i won the lotto I wouldn't tell anyone but they will be signs"
Me 100% as well! I don't need a mansion, however I NEED a mini RR lol.
lol I was just watching the older track layout video and wondering what had changed. Thanks for the videos very entertaining.
Same here, just watched the bridge build from around a year ago.
Having a railway like this and actually utilizing said railway for further expansion has been my dream ever since I was very little! It's so exciting to see it in reality! Thanks for sharing!
Fantastic project ... that really sparks imagination on many of us. I love it.
I happened onto your channel recently and really enjoy your videos. Very neat operation. I like your resourcefulness on alot of the projects and equipment. Keep up the great work. 👍
Enjoyed your video while sipping my morning coffee. I'm always impressed by the amount of work and engineering you put in this great project!
thank you, it's very interesting to have a broader vision of your work
Thanks, great to see the map!
Keep on living the dream. We love to see it!
Thanks for the update - you're doing a great job ...
Thank you for the route update. You have a great railroad and I appreciate your sharing it with us. I think that anything you might want to talk about concerning the railroad would be of interest to your subscribers.
Fascinating. Thanks for the updated great video. I recently subscribed is there a video on the history of the RRVT line?
I will put something together in this regard, I recently found some old photos and maps that folks may find interesting.
Thanks for the updated map. Really great to see the changes over time, would love to get to see this operation someday.
It's really cool to see the changes that have been made over the years, I was curious what's changed from the older videos.
Enjoyed your video!, Thanks for the updated maps. It was quite clear where you was working on the track, and changes could be deduced by watching all the videos but now everything is evident. Cris
Thank you I have been wondering about the route
Thank you for the updated plan. I was struggling to work out the exact location of the new bridge. Just needs an updated cab view of the route.
friggin noice! Looking forward for more!
Amazing
Thanks for the update! Always enjoy the updates! Now that we have a route update...how about we do roster update? :) I know that would be a lot of work, but wouldn't have to be done at one setting. Hopefully no major damage when you visit the railroad. Look forward to the next update.
I have been thinking about putting all of the equipment in one place so it can be seen in 1 video, just a matter of switching everything out and getting it done, so stay tuned!
I TOTALLY LOVE the layout. Is this your private road or is it a club? I would LOVE to have a layout. I also enjoyed the bridge building video. I am always attracted to traction railroads, especially trolley cars. Best of luck !!!!!!
It is my private road, due to liability concerns I have to limit visitors but it sure is fun to work on. Glad you enjoyed it as I do :)
@@CNW4145 That is AMAZING, All the way down to the sub-stations. The current collection all home made. You are BRILLIANT. I wish I had some copper trolley wire I could give you. Do you have much voltage loss without the use of span insulators? Are you running 240 VDC? You have a lifetime fan here !! Best of Luck :-)
It very cool to see the changes over the years and I can’t wait to see the updates/improvements of it in the future.
Just curious, where did the two old rail lines go after it reached the end of the paper?
Keep up the good work.
Great job! 🎉
💚
Hi, i am new to your site, in fact i discovered it an hour ago. How exciting to see another love of trains! So excited by your hard work, thank you. Where about are you located? 😊
It is located in Illinois. Welcome aboard!
This is awesome you made this as I was just wondering what the entire layout was like, especially after the bridge videos. May I make 1 suggestion though, to increase video views and to make it easier on viewers, consider linking any old videos you reference or ones directly related to the current video. Such as the steps of a project, and/or consider making playlists. I understand the filming and editing is a lot of additional work, but hopefully it wan pan out in your favor!
Snowplow in the future? First rotary was done for a small traction company. I have a picture of it in one of my transit books.
Your next expansion looks like it will be a good run.
I hope I can pull it off, just need that rail :)
I thorougly enjoy your videos and your method of homebrew engineering and construction.
Just one question. How do you insulate the catenary from the catenary supports? I recognize you are using relatively low voltage, but I can't quite make out the unsulation system.
Please keep enhancing your system and supplying the associated videos. Very interesting!
The insulation is simply the wooden cross arms that support the wire, nothing more is needed due to the low voltage used here.
Are you going to use that piece of X track in the central loop project?
I would LOVE to use that somewhere, everytime I look at it the ideas flow. Hopefully sometime I can make it happen!
So do you own anything on the other side of the creek? Like could you do a bridge over the creek and build further that direction? Awesome videos btw. Just had one in my feed and i definitely subscribed
I wish I did, bridging that creek has long been a dream of mine but the land is not for sale. I'm sure the permits to do such a thing would make it nearly impossible on a hobby scale too- but one can dream!
Thanks for the update, and clarifying the layout. I'm just curious, when you have found rail available in the past (brickyard, old mine, etc) do you have to physically remove it yourself? Or is the rail stacked up for you to get? How do you transport it to your site? Keep up the good work!
Most of the time the rail must be removed but in some cases I do find it already removed. Obviously if you remove it yourself the price is lower, but it is more work. Fine by me! I then use a truck and trailer to haul the rail to the site.
So what’s the gauge of this road?
24"
Thanks for going over this as I’ve often wondered about the changes over the years ⭐️
You are quite welcome!
Amazing progress and video.
How is the boxcar and the tree in its way?
Still standing. But soon will be no more.
Очень интересно!!!
Hello CNW4145, I have a question to your train system. Where is it located? Do you have the adress from it? Than I will maybe visit it. Thank you!
where is this small line located?
It is in Illinois
@@CNW4145 where abouts in Illinois?
It is near Rochelle, so basically north central.
