I’m a mom of two littles as well. Finished nursing school last May and am a new grad nurse in the icu. Just keep pushing you got this momma! By the time you know it school will be a thing of the past.
Nursing school friends will be your lifelong friends! Nursing school is so stressful and hard but great and no one else will understand what you’re going through! They will be your biggest support system. So glad you had a good first day!

Your story is SO much like mine! I went to LVN school bc I didn’t have enough pre-req’s to apply for RN yet (that’s diff than your story,but...) and very 1st day,met who would be my best friend for yrs to come! Our whole class became really good friends & many of us did study groups,got together on weekends to go out etc. I unexpectedly (but my decision for safety reasons for myself & my son) separated & divorced from my 1st husband while I was in school. My son was only 18mos. Being in school really helped me through it,bc of my new friends & just staying busy. LVN school was a blast. I bridged over to RN & grad in ‘99. Became a L&D nurse and met my hubby at the hospital! Nursing school was so fun & becoming an RN was such a great decision for me....& I met the man of my dreams! I know great things will happen for you too. Yes,nursing school is hard,but it’s also so much fun & you will become so close with your classmates and your instructors. Excited for you!
Anatomy class- lots of flash cards. Congratulations on starting Nursing school. I graduated in1994. Was ER nurse for most of my career and am retired now. A great job.

Thank you for sharing your first day of nursing school! I start classes tomorrow for prerequisite for nursing. It’s so motivating to see another mom in school. I see a lot of other nursing students on UA-cam that are so young and it makes me feel old. 😂

I’m so happy for you! Nursing school is tough, I won’t lie to you. Going through nursing school with a young daughter (I was the ONLY one in my cohort with a kid) was so emotional and stressful but seriously so motivating! I just graduated last month and got my dream job! You’ve got this! 💕

New grad nurse here! Graduated in May, passed NCLEX in July, and got hired on at my hospital on the Med/Surg/Tele floor, and kudos to you for going through nursing school while being a Mom! Nursing school was hard and I didn’t have kids and a family on top of that, so many kudos to you! I wish you the best on your journey! ❤️

This is the first video of yours that I have seen, and I subscribed immediately! I'm applying to nursing school in 2 days, and I'm in A&P 2 right now (it's rough lol). The feeling of peace you described and the way your happiness was so noticeable to you was amazing to see. I think it is a reflection of the decisions you have made for yourself and your daughter, that they were the right moves to make and now starts a new and brighter future because of the sacrifices you are making. I’m currently going through my first round of IVF (prepping for first FET) and in school full time (bachelors in elementary education) and working full time and have two step daughters. I feel like I’m drowning honestly. I love your videos so so much! My husband is 17 years older than I am (I’m 27) and I am so sorry to hear about your divorce. Good luck! I separated from my ex husband 4 months into nursing school. It was hard but I made it through. You will too. Don’t let people’s comments or ignorance or whatever get you down. They have no idea what you’re going through or what your life is like. Keep your head high.

I’m so happy you’re back! As a mom of 3, your perseverance and go-getter attitude inspires me to keep going! I have taken a few semesters at 16-17 credit hours and although it’s not easy, I know if I can do it, you definitely can! I believe 2020 is your year 💪🏻

Sorry to hear about your divorce. I’m proud that you are following your dreams. I stumbled on your video because I am a stay at home mom interested in nursing school as a second career. I’m hoping to start classes next week taking one class to start. I need to dip my foot back into a college text book first before taking on a full load.

I am a mom who is going back to school for nursing as well.
I'm slightly confused about the layout of how they're handling your program? Were you not supposed to get your A&P, Math, English, Psychology/Sociology out of the way before applying to the program?? I know each program is different and handles everything completely differently, but I'm just curious how yours is handling things since you were talking about 16 credits and what not?
Also, didn't know if you were aware that you can do the CPR online (just did it today in fact) so you don't actually have to do anything in person anymore. Unless maybe your school is insistent that you must do it in person at that specific school?
My school offers the option to working parents who want to come back that they are allowed to pull things out of the program and treat them like a second set of pre-reqs, so you can take your semester load from 16 (normal load for unmarried, childless student) to 8-12 depending on how much you're working outside of school; basically mine works around the schedules so we can accomplish our goals...
I’ve been thinking about going to nirsing school but was scared because im 34 going to be 35 with a 10yr old and 3month okd twins but this gave me so much inspiration to just go for it.
