For anyone interested in a gold monster, I would recommend one. I bought one from Bill in March. He provided training with the purchase and I was digging targets soon after. I found my first piece of gold that day, it was four inches deep in that “hot” ground. The nugget was the same size as Eisenhower’s ear on a dime; very impressive. Bill is top notch.
What I like best about your videos is that you show us that even the best nugget shooter I know, has to weed through a bunch of trash in search of that illusive nugget!
I can see why gold digging is hard work..happy to see you hit pay dirt, nice nuggets..you sure do know how to handle that detector..really enjoyed the hunt..CBJ
Nice video Bill. I know this is one of your older videos but I really enjoyed being able to see all aspects of your metal detecting and especially seeing all the trash compared to the gold not everybody shows all the trash being dug up. Thanks for keeping it real.
Hi Bill That’s why I always have a rare earth magnet on the end of my pick.. Once I get a signal I run my magnet over the potential area to help me not to dig unnecessary targets..! That way if it’s still there after . I know it is a non ferrous target. That’s the way I do it anyway.. You will see me using it in my Gold detecting videos. Any way each to their own.! Go the monster. Thanks for sharing your knowledge on using the Minelab Gold Monster 1000 Cheers Famo59. Tony.👍🍺⛏🇦🇺
Hey new friend. We look like about the same vintage eh. thanks a bunch for the sub and showing me around your lifestyle. I am up in Northern BC Canada. I got ya tagged back too. Looks like I can learn a bunch from ya. I pan up here any chance I get. Always some dusty color but no lunkers yet. Dry land is a whole new gig for me.
I really like that machine I just wondered hope it would on coins and art affects nice finds you really have to be patient when looking for little gold nuggets. Carl HH
It is mainly designed for gold nugget hunting, but does have ferrous discrimination if one wants to use it. I mainly hunt in all metal and use the discrimination to check targets like hot rocks etc. I dig all targets when hunting nuggets.
Had my first go with my monster today , gee it’s different to my gpx5000 lol , amazing the amount of tiny targets and bbs you miss lol , no gold but I was impressed with how it ran , it’s going to be great to hit under power lines ect that pulse induction can’t handle 👍🏻
Is the wrapping of the coil wire on the detector shaft typical of how you should wrap it? I also like that you stay in one area and not wander from hill to hill. 👍
Thanks Rob and I wrap the wire like that to keep it from moving because if the wire is able to move around freely when bumping and swinging the detector will "see" it and give false signals. It is metal inside....
it is indeed and Minelab really came through with this little beast. Once one gets used to having a 24 bit micro processor on board and how to work it, it is wicked on gold.
It does well there Todd and most if not all other places I have tried it. I just prefer the extra sensitivity of the Gold Monster when out for nuggets.
Before I bought a detector, I watched a bunch of videos. It seemed like whenever someone found silver, whether it be a ring or coin, they uncontrollably gasped in awe. When I finally made it out, I found a silver ring and had that same gasp in awe. I was just wondering what your first reaction was when you found your first nugget. Was it a similar reaction or just a stupid question!!! Lol 🤔👍👍 Thanks for bringing us along
My first was in my own header pile from my drywasher and yes I was in awe and to this day I get that same feeling in a new area after following the clues.
Hey Bill, I have the Equinox 800 can I find gold nuggets with it? I know this video you are using the Gold monster. But as I am just starting out finding gold not sure if I want to invest another grand on a machine!! Give me your thoughts.
the 800 will serve you almost as well as the monster as a gold hunting VLF and no need to worry. I have found bits so small with it I couldn't pick them up.
excellent Shooter , I heard your name mentioned along time ago but just happened across this vid ,good one , how about that frog nugget ,leapt right off your finger , and wouldn't it be so much easier if those other people didn't leave those bullets and things around in the desert, lol, so anyway I subbed for future vids cheers mate ,thanks for sharing your passion.
You really put in some work that day

Yes it will and a welcome addition to the toolbox...
It's amazing that those machines pick up that Gold. I want to get mine lab not sure what model im going to get yet

Hi Bill,
Just bought a gold monster, cant wait to hunt. Why do you prefer the 5" over the 10"x6"? Do you lose depth?
Amazing how that machine can pick those tiny pieces of gold out of that harse soil.
it is indeed and Minelab really came through with this little beast. Once one gets used to having a 24 bit micro processor on board and how to work it, it is wicked on gold.
Nice score!
Have you considered taking a bannister brush to sweep the dirt out of the bedrock crevices?
No I haven't Ross and perhaps I should carry a small brush, usually just bust it up...
All those targets you recovered. How large was the area you detected do you estimate? Congrats on all your finds.
20 x 20 feet or so Rob
@@NUGGETSHOOTER very cool. That's dedication.
@@robmart8255 no reason to wander off when you know there is gold in an area eh?
Wonder how the Equinox with 6" coil would handle that ground?
It does well there Todd and most if not all other places I have tried it. I just prefer the extra sensitivity of the Gold Monster when out for nuggets.
Great video bud loved it :)
Thank you!
Boa tarde com ese gold monster.
Ouro aparece brota da terra. Muito bom. de longe escuto o apito do gold monster maravilha. De máquina.
shooter, ever use a Whites v stat. I would like to see one working.
If I had one here I would give it a go for you, friend had one some years back and did well with it....
loved the vid, nice nuggets, looks like hard work, but fun reward. thanks for sharing.

@@NUGGETSHOOTER So sweet. I think I remember you saying that in a recent video. 👍👍
Hey Bill that was a great hunt ,
that monster is quite good on
tiny nuggets, thanks for sharing
GL&HH .Jim.
It is indeed Jim and they all add up right? Does well on larger stuff as well and gets good depth especially with the 10 x 5 coil on it.
Nice hunt!

Nice gold brother great vid
Do you know the weight of the gold nuggets?
no did not weigh them, just throw them in a jar with the rest....
Спасибо за труд ⛏️⚖️💰
Did the 4 pieces add up to a gram?
nope just short....
Tagged the bell too bud.
Thank you! much more to come... Rang ya back!
Nice Video

Hi Bill!!why there are no subtitles?
Я не знаю, как это сделать ... Позвольте мне изучить моего друга
Cool channel man! I gave you a sub, I'm going to get a detector eventually to add to my prospecting tools!
I watched through away a specimine
nope... I check them and type of rock.
Can you sink a shaft on that claim?
This is a placer gold deposit and digging into the underlying material which is volcanic Tuff and only 5 or 6 inches down would not produce any gold.
Fair up schist creek, lol...
lol

I keep all the lead , put all trash into scrap bin ,,,
Hi Chris, I have a fishing sinker melting pot and make it into 5 pound ingots.
NUGGET SHOOTER JOURNALS yes great ideas for others that may not know , a lot of trash worth money ,, good luck to you sir ,, great videos,,
Say Bill I don't hold it against you I'm 65 years old I'm not 20 anymore either.
