This is hands down, THE best cage for the A6700, especially built out with the fan and battery... BUT... if you aren't rigging it up, and are just hand shooting or tripod shooting with the camera/cage, it's trash. Reason being because the A6700 grip is absolutely TERRIBLE, and a cage with an extended pinky shelf/grip is 100% a must, just like the smallrig does. This tilta cage is perfect, until you get to the one part where it can make or break a cage, and they literally cut out the ONE place where the metal HAS to be. As for why it sucks for tripods, is because the cage is missing the built in arca Swiss. Needing to add an ADDITIONAL extra thing for no reason, and making the camera unstable to sit flat, and having to be putting it on and off is another fail. So, if you're gonna always leave it rigged up, go with this. If you will be holding the actual camera AVOID THIS. One solution is to get the cage/fan setup for rigging from tilta, and then buy just the smallrig bottom plate. It extends the grip so all your fingers can be securely on it, it has built in arca Swiss, the camera sits stably with it on, and it looks like it's made on there. It's only like $25-$30, so you can have the tilta when you need rigged out, but switch the to smallrig bottom plate for everything else. The smallrig full cage is also crappy it's own ways, and not as good as going with the tilta full cage/smallrig bottom plate combo.
