The Posies...of all coulda-shoulda-woulda-been huge bands of the 90's, how come they weren't a household name? They had everything and unlike another favourite band of mine, Guided By Voices, they weren't "weird" at all. They were/are extremely accessible! Btw, how come Guided By Voices haven't played KEXP, they tend to have all of their peers.Maybe the problem is with GBV...?
@cagwa So you haven't ever heard either Success or Amazing Disgrace? They certainly came close and I could make a pretty good argument that Amazing Disgrace is their best album ever. I love FOTB, but there are plenty of bands that made one good album. These guys are special because of their entire catalog. The scary thing is that Fotb came out 17 years ago, but it's great to see that they keep making music and keep moving forward.
Rest in peace Matt Harris. What a great bass player. He was my friend and I'll miss him👓
I'm really Sorry to hear that. I'll pray for him. A Big Hug for you

Too young.
Frosting on the Beater is a great album! awesome song
One of the few albums I can listen to from start to finish.
One of the best of the 90's without a doubt.
There are reasons why Ken and Jon were chosen as members of Big Star.
This is one of them.
No matter how many times I watch this it is always breathtaking.
Love This song so much , gives me the chills
Ken shines here incredibly. Great lead vocals, such youthful looks, and, well, I love how he gets great sound from that tiny amp!
i single handedly brought the amount of views up to 40k
Paul M Great job
I'm a 90's kid that grew up loving shit like this. I barely found out about them last year.....shame on me.
@TopHatJack Try this one band called "El gato".
Great sounds! I've always loved this song. The vocalizations, harmonies, guitars, bass, drums.... it's ear candy!
Hooks on top of hooks
Love the warm, active bassline
oh man this just sounds so good. love it! love it! the Posies should be on top of the charts.
Cecilia Lozano they’re touring now, I’d highly recommend seeking them
Frosting on the Beater lineup
The ultimate pop-rock song

This song is just perfect
These guys are real music up beat melody and pure skill...
Ken Stringfellow … Seattle's answer to The Hollies' Allan Clarke.

I'd love to have these guys play a house party.
That would be paradise. 😊
I've seen a few they've done. Ain't gonna happen anymore though, unfortunately

27 years ago this year. Wow. I didn't discover this until 2017 though I knew Dream All Day. Enjoyed this album b4 things went very bad
@fairbanks1877
agreed. this one really does it for me.
soooo good
この曲は、ライヴもいいなー。
Awesome cover....The best covers dont remake the original, and this one is great. I think Bolles is in the video as well....
Woah, this is a cover?
I’m almost certain that the Posies wrote this song.
@@db6006 I thought so, too! Such a good song. 😊
Cool radio!!
Great guitar solo here
The posies 3
Thumbs up.
Is that a little Peavey in the background?
I saw them play a show later in day and John played what looked like an 80's Peavey Bandit all night. Sound was killer!
buena
You must not be looking very hard. Granted, less stuff like this is popular or picked up by major labels, but it is out there
good morning
They haven't come close to the Frosting on the Beater CD. Get your mojo back!
I didn't know Seth rogan played bass
Chris Parnell on them drums too
i love how the bassist really seems to think he's the lead of the band.
clearly influenced by the Manchester scene
Manchester listened to Big Star as well in the seventies?
yes, they would have streamed it on their 70's iPhone hehehe
???? wtf
I thought this tune could be also a bit Nada Surfesque ? Anyway the best of the best !!!
Bass player not playing the walk up part at all. he plays the song ok but cheaper. Get Dave Fox back.
Jon started eating pies around this time
Mindless chord playing weenies
Fuck off.
Would love to see you do better LOL
Jon Auer is one of the best lead guitarists I've ever seen or heard! Go to the video "Burn and Shine"---you're welcome!
@@tdsims1963 such a beautiful song. ❤️
