By getting the 'Map of the Soul special edition' ARMY BOMB I wanted to customise it like I did for the previous 'ver.3' 😊✨and since JungKook is my bias and he uses a bedazzled mic now too I HAD TO RECREATE IT OK!? (▶I don't know the official colour he has, so I tried to figure out which represents his mic color most T_T)

I just bought some Fuchsia Shimmer crystals to customize my ARMY Bomb and I wasn't sure if it was the same as JK's new mic color, but now seeing this it does look just like his mic now! whew... it would have sucked to spend all that money to have it not match. thank you for your tutorial! it was super helpful. for the glue I used a fine tipped syringe to lay down fine rows of glue before i placed each crystal! it really helped to control the amount and the fumes too.

I'm happy to hear you'll be decorating yours too👏😁 if you're not sure if the base color would fit to the crystals I can recommend you to do some swatches on paper and arrange the crytals over it=see if the color looks weird underneath🤗
Muted colors are usually best; so as long as your color isn't a vibrant screaming color you're good to go😅👌

I'm happy to answer, no worries.
They'll most probably not be removable (at least not without any damage to the surface on the AB). But you can make a layer of self-adhesive foil and then glue the crystals on top. That way it's easy to remove everything again. (For the foil part, I recommend you to watch the decoration vid of Angoo 'YourKoreanFriend')🤗
it turned out so beautifully 😍😍 can I ask if for example you want to take all the crystal out, do you think it will damage the lighstick?
Will never try this, but it might take off some of the coating? I mean you would have to scratch them off which sure does not go unnoticed..idk 😅

If you're committed you can finish it within 3days, but I would recommend to just take your time😅 I think this kinda work is really fun and soothing 👉👈

@@ontok6926 mine never came off. Once the glue is fully dried they're attached pretty well/it's actually hard to get them off again 😅 use the right glue, that's all it takes👈

In the description you have different kinds of crystals noted. Did you use them all and mix and match them or just the Fuchsia ones? Also what does (19 ppc) mean?

I only used those 19 crystals (light siam shimmer) at the button, fuse and bottom for fun as I had them in stock (and they look alike the fuchsia ones. From fuchsia shimmer I only had SS5 in stock)

i don’t know if i missed something, but where did you start switching out the crystal colours and crystal sizes? i’m thinking about doing this in the future, and i don’t want to mess it up
I used the fuchsia shimmer (=size SS5) for the whole body and fuse part. I only used another color for the bts/army logo (also SS5). The few bigger crystals (SS9) were only used above the buttons (3pcs) and under the bts/army logo-7pcs under each🤭 (no need to this too, they just fit so perfectly in that space 😊).
In principle you can just use one size only =SS5 🙌

As for placement:
SS5=used practically for the whole body and fuse
SS9=used where spaces could be filled better with a bigger sized crystal. I ended up using 3(?not sure anymore) by the upper button. 2 were on the fuse and I think 2 on the sides.. On the bottom piece were 7 each under the bts and army logo(not necessary spacewise just wanted the '7' under each logo😌).
Use them as less as possible otherwise the alignment will look wonky. Don't worry, sometimes they fit just perfect; you'll notice it in the process 😉
And FYI you can skip the gesso part. Just use the 2 layers of acrylic color. I did this for another army bomb and it worked just as fine 😅

Well..I mean it's not impossible to get them off, it will be very hard though. I'm pretty sure you'll end up with scratches on the surface as well.
How much did you pay for all the crystals? I just looked it up and on the website 1440 crystals for 46,55€ 😮

Hi! What's the purpose of the paint? Is it ok to proceed to glueing right away w/o the paint? Thank you!
The acrylic makes the crystals hold on better to the surface; you can skip the gesso part but I would really recommend you to stick to the acrylic part..
That way you can also match the color of the surface to your crystals which makes it look more even. (Their mic bg color is matched to the crystals too😉)
i love the multichrome foil! do you know if the website you bought it from ships to usa? i would love to buy some but im not sure if they ship to usa and i cant find an alternative here :(

ss30 is really big, I don't think it would look pretty on the army bomb. Would not recommend you using these. Ss12 is already looking quite big on it (I used that size on my very first army bomb). Try look for another brand; etsy got some good dupes that might work out 😕

Hi! I’m finally gonna start bedazzling my army bomb, but i have a decal on the handle, if i just put the crystals on top of it with the glue to trace it, would they stay on? Or would i need to gesso the decal as well? Or should i just take if off all together?
It might be that the surface of the decal is too smooth for the glue to have a proper grip on. You can try with one crystal first before doing it all. see if the crystal is sliding over it although the glue dried, than you know you should use acrylic paint over it (i tried both with and without gesso and noticed no differences)

@@gender-fluidARMY it's very likely this is a fake one as you can only buy the army bombs as a membership user on weverse. Therefore I doubt eBay and Amazon have the real ones..
Best option would be to wait for concerts again and buy it at the venue. As an int. Army we only have limited options (or more like expensive options T_T). The mots ver is currently available 😉

The grey is the gesso (didn't had black gesso so I colored it darker to only need one coat of the acrylic color later). The black is my background color since it fitted best to the crystals.
FYI you can skip the gesso part completely; tried it out for my jimin version and it worked just as fine.
I would not skip the acrylic layer as this is helping the crystals tremendously having a good grip on the plastic (quite slippery) surface and also because you can customize the perfect background color 😉

Well, you could try applying some crystals on the back in a small area. Wait for the glue to dry for 3days and than rub over them to see if they come off or move🤔 be aware that your crystals will shine best if the background color matches them😉

Nope, they don't hurt. They actually feel massaging to the palms in a very gentle way😂👏

I’ve been wanting to decorate mine like this ever since JK got a new mic✨ Does anyone happen to know cheaper alternatives to swarovski crystals though?😅 I just looked online and they’re super expensive considering I’d need to buy a few packs but I’m not sure if cheaper ones will look as pretty as this one🥺

Honestly you don't need the gesso at all. I tried it on another one without it and it worked just as fine. Just apply 2 coats of the acrylic paint and you're good to go🤗

Hi. Is fuchsia summer the closest colour to his mic? I’m looking at Siam shimmer. But due to covid, I can’t see a real life pic to compare. Would you advise between these 2 which is the best fit?
the blue shimmer that siam shimmer has is kinda darker than the other colors, also siam is dark red and fuchsia has some purple depending on the light. JKs mic color is hard to decipher tbh.. there's red and purple (with the blue reflection of course). And I know there's a color heliotrope shimmer which may fits his mic even better (couldn't order that one since the size I required was nowhere to be found in Europe 😢). I choose fuchsia over siam but you may want to keep in mind the heliotrope too🙈
Gotta make an update here! It is Siam shimmer, so if you still can buy SIAM SHIMMER (size SS5) 🙈

You can skip the gesso (tried both and noticed no difference). As for acrylic paint, two layers are enough

You can skip the gesso but I wouldn't skip the acrylic as your crystals will have a better grip with it
@@NoondaySun is painting the lightstick is important? or i can proceed putting rhinestone directly?
@@kateannsantos1630 like I said, the crystals will have a better grip once dried if you paint it (it's also easier to apply them as glue makes the surface quite slippery and paint makes it more rough). On top of that you can match your background color fitting to the crystal color making little gaps not as obvious. I haven't applied any paint on the fuse part since I had black as my background color😉

Army bomb on weverse shop. Shipping fee sucks but it's the only reliable source (avoid eBay, they often sell fakes).
You can buy the crystal picker and acrylics on Amazon and maybe the glue too. (You can skip the gesso part)

What is the difference between ss5 pp11 or pp12?
As far as I know 'pp' are chatons (that's for swarovski I don't know if other brands use the same way to name size and form). 'ss' is for the flat back crystals and the numbers behind is the size

Do you know Angu on youtube ->'your Korean friend'? Follow her army bomb tutorial with the holographic foil. Once you have such a foil on you can glue the crystals on.
As you can get the foil off without damaging your army bomb it's the only safe way I can think of right now 😊

The shop I bought from doesn't sell them anymore😔 I think etsy still has a lot of offers for swarovski crystals tho ..
Why we need to paint it?
The glue+crystals hold on better to rough textures. If you pick a color close to the crystal color it will also look more clean as spaces inbetween won't show as obvious.
(You can skip the gesso part tho. Tried without it on another one and it worked just as fine 👌)
