Blessed to know our work is having impact : on this track Concert Harp by Josefe-Marie Verna. I remember the Day we were in the Studio in the Spring of 1993.
Of course Josefe Marie! Amazing and inspiring piece. I can´t stop to listen it. Actually, i shared it lots of times with friends, musicians and producers like me and all of them say the same thing: this is wonderful! Thanks a lot!
Very beautiful. It is like bridging the gap between John Coltrane's Estate and Sun Ra's....even if there was such a thing...Thank you for the birds eye view.

I’m glad to have met the sons of Phil Cohran otherwise known as Hypnotic Brass Ensemble who has toured with Prince and The Gorillaz. Also glad to know Phil Cohran was apart of Sun Ra’s Arkhestra which solidifies the spiritual feeling behind this music. Safe travels in enteral essence Mr. Cohran, your music has impacted me in ways you can’t imagine. Learned so much about Chicago culture from your family. I would like to have this song played at my funeral 🙏🏾
@@LordHaiti I am very happy to make your acquaintance. I worked with Marvin Tate for a lot of years, and a bunch of those albums were re-released recently. I hope music remains crucial to you ♥

This song calls to an ancient and sacred part of myself. It is the music of universal thread, the sonic tapestry of creation itself. My heart opens to this music.
Such an organic composition harnessing immaculate aesthetic imagery, representing merely captivating fragmented scrimmages of this earth's mostly forgotten or commonly overlooked glimpses of pure profound beauty.
I accidentally found this through a link from a mostly unrelated article. This is some of the most moving music I have ever heard, and I've only heard about 2 minutes of it so far. I could try to say something poetic, but the music itself is poetry enough. Absolutely amazing.
I love everything she has ever played on. A deeply moving talented lady.Thank you so much for uploading. Everything you wrote above is spot on. Peace to you.Sun ra is one of the key holders of love in the multiverse. This feels so fitting.
We recorded this in the Studio in March 1993 - I perform on the Concert Harp here. This Composition evolved from our practice Sessions when I first moved to Chicago (October 1990) to study with Kelan Phil Cohran. There's an enriching Journey in these Sounds, including the Power to Overcome!!! I'm Grateful that it has Blessed you!
I remember watching Cochran (at a Chicago Auditorium) I can't remember in the late 60s perform his incredible song 'On the Beach'. I was 14 and a black revolutionary, remember that? Since then have never, I mean never, been able to find it after the 33 rpm album I had was destroyed. I searched all over NYC and NJ in the 80s and now I guess UA-cam can't get it back either.
Contra Mundum Thanks Contra Mundum. His last name is spelled Cohran on the upload that's why I never found it. It brings back sitting in that auditorium mesmerized by this majestic band as if it was happening all again. Many are the thanks to you man!
Now this is the "Kind of Blue" of 1993. Interestingly, Miles Davis said of Kind of Blue that the sound he wanted was that of the "finger piano" (probably an African Thumb Piano) but he didn't quite achieve it. Well I suspect that Phil Cohran achieved that sound that Miles Davis was trying to capture on Kind of Blue. This is one amazing record. Like Kind of Blue - everybody should own a copy of it.
