- The Wisconsin gun deer season is a tradition for many people, and it is a very special weekend at our deer camp. Our family packs up and heads to our cabin, and the weekend is just as much about spending time with one another as it is about deer hunting. We have had a great archery season, and we were all excited to be back in the woods with a gun in our hands!

Looks like our camp in WI just a little more modern lol the polish blackberry is a 100% necessity. We go thru many a bottle each season.
Lol we love it and it is very cozy! However it's far from modern. No running water. Generator powered, and the only way to heat it is our wood stove. But I wouldn't want anything more!
When gun deer hunting in Wisconsin I think your hat has to be orange

(listed on page 3) is in progress, it is illegal
to hunt any game, except waterfowl, unless
at least 50% of the hunter’s outer clothing
above the waist is colored blaze orange
or fluorescent pink. A hat or other head
covering, if worn, must be at least 50%
blaze orange or fluorescent pink. Faded
or stained blaze orange or fluorescent
pink clothing is unsafe and may not meet
law requirements. Although not as visible,
camo-blaze is legal if 50% of the material is
blaze orange or fluorescent pink. The DNR
recommends 100% solid blaze orange or
fluorescent pink.
So when you’re in a blind you need to wear Orange? Makes a ton of sense

Really wanna try to Hunt Wisconsin this year. Love hunting Montana but wanna branch out to different states as well!!!!
I really want to hunt Montana! It's my absolute favorite state. I fly fished it this fall and also did a sharptail/sage grouse hunt. Absolutely gorgeous.

No I shot her probably 40 minutes before dark and left her until legal shooting time was over.

Stinks you have to worry and let down on a deer because of a neighbor. I get it though, just sucks that hinders your mental game. Cool camp though!

You do realize that you are illegal because you are not wearing a blaze orange cap/hat even though you are sitting in a blind?... just saying.
Not every state you have to have blaze orange hat on. I live in Michigan and it goes by total square inches. And minimum is a hat. But a vest is just fine. So maybe Wisconsin is the same?

Can’t cross property lines in Wisconsin without permission.
Even with proper blood and proof of shooting it on your own land you cannot cross into private property without permission. No excuses. Just following laws.
