I have loved that body style since I was a little kid. The powerglide is a good / borderline great trans for several reasons. But 1st gear tends to be high because you only have 2 gears. They are efficient though in an overall sense. They tend to have a distinct whining sound that comes from them. Particularly at idle in park. I think it is the pump in them. I'm not an expert. I did have a powerglide and I beait very badly as my first cat in a 70 nova. Granted it was only a 250. BUt still. and it never did blow.
Back in the day my brother had the same car, that color, black interior, buuuut, it was a small block with three on the tree !!!! Yes it was a ss !!! He put a rock crusher 4spd in it, lol

Whats up with the a.c hose and heater hose looks like a sausage factory under the hood .
That A/C hose is wrong.. micky mouse job.. same with fuel line to carb, that's a recipe for engine fire.
'68 impala looks overall better
I like the rear lights better than the 67
