People often say to just get stuff tailored. But I'm recovering from anorexia and don't want to permanantly change my dresses when my waist is in a constant state of flux, so this method is really useful, thankyou!
That’s amazing!! I’m so proud of you, I know how hard EDs are and I’m sure your doing great, I love you!
@@norahfruitsnack658 really nice and supportive of you but "I love you" from a stranger? 😶
@@Ash5191 I don’t see anything wrong with them saying I love you, their being supportive
@@itsmethatqueen4188 being supportive doesn't require saying "i love you" to someone you don't even know but to each their own I guess
@@Ash5191 I love you stranger! Have a great day!! Throwing love at ya!! (*˘︶˘*).。*♡
am i the only one that actually likes this hack?? I want to temporarily make a dress fit better to see if I like it or not.
if it does look good, I can just tailor it to size and wear it
If not, I can just donate it without any crazy messy stitches
Yess but i feel instead of putting pins directly in the fabric try putting them at the end thick edges . This way you wont ruin your dress too
@Sara Mahmood just be careful and you'll be okay
in my fashion style we out safety pins all over 😅
everybody gangsta till you see the back
nothing in the back, the rope is inside so no one can see, it just wrinkle a little but not to obvious
While figuring out how tight to tie it, sit and stand. Walk and move a little more aggressively than you would and figure out how much give you might need. You're less likely to tear or stretch the material that way.
the way i laughed at the end😂the way she’s slightly moving side to side like those video game characters before you pick them to fight💀💀💀
Excellent idea because I don't like to sew. Thank you so much for sharing. I have a small waistline and I hate when dresses are big in that area.
It’s all fun and games until people like me STAB themselves with that pin 😭😭😭
🥺🥺🥺i got myself stab with that thing at my hip...because my jeans teear up😂
It’s all fun and games until the safety pins come undone and it jabs you-
rlly cool idea tho:)
HOLYSHI- 188 likes that’s wow I’m I don’t know what to say thank you guys 😳
Edit: 203 LIKES AHAGJKGG- NO WAY I- THIS AIN'T REAL 😳
edit 2: AFGHFDTYUHJ- WHAT 241 LIKES NO WAY- YALL TO KIND ISTG-🥺
edit 3 : ADPLLJHHGFDDD- OMG YALL SO NICE
@K P that’s good to hear but it could of been worse if you think about it-
Safety pin is safe until it's open ... 🙂
Can you show the back next time pls because it looks like a great hack but i have to see what it looks like at the back. Thanks
You could even do this from the front :) I seen another video on it and you can’t tell at all
I have the same dress but with a different color/design- it’s got the flufffly ruffly edges, tie in the top middle, and the zipper on that side, and same looseness, I wear a belt with it 💀
So you’re supposed to tie it while it’s on the right way? That seems kinda hard lol
I had to call my mother and make her go inside my dress , find the laces, tie it and do it all over again because it looked awkward. Then ditch the whole outfit because it wasn't working for me. Thanks i guess😂
Now turn around show the matted mess in the back...🤷♀️
It's all rainbow and sunshine until one of those pins open
How do you get it back on if it's tightened?
Welcome back to 5 minutes craft kids
It actually works! That‘s an amazing hack thank you :)
Won't the bump of the knot show from behind the dress😶
That seems potentially dangerous, not to mention the pins would show if you really tighten it. Might want to consider just looking up stitches and sew in small fabric loops on either side.
I have a 57cm waist. I safety pin almost all my clothes. I sew them *when I have the time*. It is not dangerous. The most that will happen is the safety pin will go undone when you bend or sit. It may hurt a little bit but that's all. It's not like it's going to stab you or anything
@@denizkaragullu6239 I've used safety pins before. They will stab you. At least mine did
Ya I am wondering the same!! Why no one is talking about how safety pins can hurt you unexpectedly 😅
It's not that hard to sew somthing like that by hand to resize it. It wouldn't cost much either.
Well I say this hack is good. And when you get older you can still fit into those clothes. I'm sorry for my English.
@@sreya2004 What emergency could you possibly have that requires you to tighten your dress?
@@alexandraselesi It's so hard to wrap my mind around the fact that someone cannot put a thread in to a needle and run some stitches with it. Whats so hard with poking holes in a fabric with a needle in and out? Even my brother who is very suck at creative things do it .
Omg, I have been in that situation so many times and not known what to do you have just saved my life👍👍
Best idea 💞🙈thanks
I am afraid the safety pin would poke and leave a hole in the dress especially if you are tying the string in back.
Can I have the name of this song pls 🙏
Cute!
Can someone tell me the title of the song?
Good ol safety pins
Wish I knew this a while back when I tried on a cute dress I bought just to realize it was too big in the waist. 🤷🏽♀️
I've never had this problem. My clothes have never been too loose 🤣🤣🥴
You need that kind of dress when you go to a buffet dinner😜
This is honestly so clever and I'm happy I came across the short
This actually works for mw
To put it simply,
i will probably never need to use this hack
Or you could just pinch it in the back and put the safety pin there. It's very subtle and a lot less effort than this hack.
Don't be shy turn around
dont be shy show us the back side....i tried this and the cloth collects at the back and its so awkward!
The top low key reminds me of oa dress in royale high lol
I showed to this to my dad and he said: *why not use a belt?*
Then the result showed she said dAmN gIrL 😂
I love loose🤣🤣
I tried it with my loose midi it really works thanks
Tbh, I was vibing to the song the hole time☺
Finally tic toc taught me something 👍
Me who likes lose dresses:👁👄👁
Smart idea!
Fantastic idea
what if it’s too small 😭
very helpful information for light fabric
omg i neeeeeded this
Nice 👍
Nice nice 👍
I miss having that problem lool
This was great😇 thank you
Respect 🎉🎉🎉 genius move. And if you want to return said dress after shooting it for a film - no sewing 😂❤😂
The tie at back will make an outline..
*Bonus tip-* wear any jacket over it to hide the outline
THIS IS SO SMART😮 😍
Ppl: Talking about the dress and stuff
Me: Also talking about the dress
Also me: Vibin to the music 🎶🎵
Good idea,👍 but I love loose dresses🙂
She is smart & pretty!
Me: watching at 2am to get ready with my old fashioned frock😊
so good idea dear❤❤❤
I just need this today Thank you
The funt fact is that I didn't sacerched for it
Me who has a quarantine waist: hmm interesting
i just did this to one of my dresses the other day but on the outside to make a bow and pleats on the back and i wore it to my school dance
Imagine experiencing the word "loose" 😭😭😭💔
Or maybe try a ribbon 🎀
My netball dress was super loose and it looked very unflattering, this hack worked so well!!! Thank you
Wow love this
You can also use the pins so you can thread ribbon through on tye outside and have a a pretty ribbon bow in the back that also sinches your waist!
Does it really works 😂
Wish i had this problem
The whole video I was like “belt, no a belt……. THAT’S A BELT”
Nothing is ever too loose
Is this done inside out? I don’t have many dresses that would look good with but it’s a great idea
Yesterday, I saw a dress that I really wanted and it was waaaay to big. I was trying to figure out a sewless way to resize a big dress.
My dress has never been lose so...
Thank you as hourglass this was very helpful
Short and sweet video 👍😊
I have this same dress and same issue also .. thanks 👍
*when the pin unclips-*
yes but use a piece of elastic
shoelace will be uncomfy if you plan bending, eating etc.
What will happen if the pins open in middle of you walking near people in public 😁
Only if you are too careful in walking so that the pin does not pinch you in middle of road lol.
Can you do when pants waist is to big, I have a small waist and struggle with finding jeans
Face it none of us are buying dresses to big for us lol😂😂 you have return for that 😂💖
So clever!
If only I had that problem
Love it,
I’d recommend safety pins with a top that you have to push up to get the pin loose.. just so you don’t accidentally get poked suddenly lol
people saying “Just get it tailored” what if it’s just a casual sun dress instead of a wedding dress? Are you really gonna get it tailored??
How can i dress it !!!!
Wooo this is nice
No matter how loose the dress is, don't do that.
No, I can genuinely say that after quarantining for over a year now, none of my dresses are too loose. LOL
Same :D
:) FACTS
HAHAHA trueee
Yesss siiiiir
Lol so true
