I love these gnomes! My favorite takeaway is to work on their boots so they can stand on their own. I have a question about the 15' tall gnome - what are his measurements? How long legs, body, arms and are the arms made with pipe cleaners or wire. thank you
oops! I meant chenille stem or wire for arms on the tall gnome and how long. I've made the two smaller ones and I want to make the tall one next! Christmas in July; on the same page hee hee
I have been enjoying your tutorials for ages now and i have never seen you break a needle until now, i break them all the time... thought it was because i was using cheap needles and i'm so glad you have told me about the angle and the lighter pressure. Good news is i've just placed an order with you for your good quality needles so looking forward to receiving them, thanks again for all your knowledge.
I was inspired by the amount of detail you can get from needle felting and hard sharp the edges of detail can be felted. Thanks for all your videos!!!!!!!
Great tutorial again, thank you, Marie ... and Faeries! Your hints and tips are so useful for other applications too so that for those who are not keen to make a gnome there are still lots of things to learn! ❤
I'm confused. Wouldn't the wire you use for the taller gnomes have to be twice the length you actually want them to be? Because you fold it in half, right? So, if you want your gnome to be 12-15" tall, you'd start with a length of wire that is 24-30".
Hi Bryan, you are not alone, but there are not as many in the states as women. There are some really talented guys tho -- check out Kiyoshi Mino, Dale Roberts, Richard Hanna, Peter McMasters, Horst, Mehmet Girgic ... these are a few that come to the top of my mind.
Please share your favorite take-a-way! We LOVE seeing the gnomes made from this kit...Please share yours in our fb group :)

My first time tuning in
You give the best and most detailed instructions I have heard yet. I also like your wool and must order some.
I'm a newbie, so excited to learn how to make a gnome out of fiber!!!
So cute! Doing the boots like this is genius!
I’m loving these multi week lessons. Everything building up on the last lesson is super cool!!

You could do the collar around the boot in white and leave it fuzzy.
Fun idea, Stormy :)
You referred to a previous tutorial that has methods not in this video. What tut is it?

Can you use pipe cleaner instead of wire
Hello from Belgium
Hello Christel! :)

Yes...15" twisted...its easy to get tongue tied talking live and unscripted 🙂
THANK YOU!!!!
son muy bonitos los trabajos, pero no entiendo nada, los podrían dar en español
Hola y gracias. No hablamos español. puedes activar los subtítulos y hacer que youtube los traduzca.
Where are all the men needle felters? Surely I can't be the only one!
