I like how this anime breaks with the cliche of "the main trio" that always consist of two boys and one girl.
Now it is 1 boy, 1 girl and 1 hopelessly dense grandma.

bro I can say this for certain I wouldn't be watching this anime if I didn't see poeple's reaction ... they encouraged me to watch it along with them ... cause I find it pretty boring and slow ...
if you find this boring then you´re paying attention to the wrong things
There's a chance you also struggle with reading books, and find yourself zoning out constantly and have short attention span.
You need to practise being patient. The Show is a very slow burn, but also an insanely good one.
