Kanami has changed the way I think of a lead guitarist. She is fantastic. In the past I only really paid paid attention to a band's lead guitarist during shredding solo's or a particularly catchy riff. Kanami brings so much more to the table with intricate melodies and often counter-melodies throughout their songs. Her solos are normally short but usually inventive and always fit the song. You mentioned wanting to hear just the guitars and it is indeed pretty incredible. I've seen some reactor's that have all of the instruments isolated (there's a term for that but I can't remember what it is) and have been astounded at how much Kanami is doing. On some songs her part essentially makes up a three or four minute technically demanding solo that she casually has sitting in the background just to fill in the soundscape that she has envisioned. Yep, she has given me a new definition of "lead" Guitar.
Lyricist guitarist singer mistress of ceremonies founder. Miku Kobato is the heart and backbone of BandMaid. You could drop Miku in the middle of the Sahara desert with a kazoo and she would still become a rockstar. All glory laud and honor is due to this mighty personality.
A few months ago I clicked on a thumbnail of 2 Japanese girls in waitress outfits playing guitar. A few months later I got on a plane and went to see them live in Houston.
They just completed a tour in the US. Included 3 music festivals, at least 2 had mosh pits. Back in Japan, Band Maid used to have mosh pits. But they asked the fans to stop after some injuries. A recent song, From Now On, is an instrumental. Highly recommended.
So, you want to hear Kanami play. React to their latest MV, From Now On. It's an instrumental and Kanami goes all out. So do Akane (drummer) and Misa (bass). My current favorite song.
Hello there Kris😊👍. It's time for you to listen to the other song from this same show; "Puzzle". That song is thick, heavy, complicated and filled with extra ordinary awsomeness.
They have a blast on every stage, big or small it doesn't matter. They have fun which transfers to the audience, when you go to see them, it's not just a gig, it's an event to be enjoyed by both parties.
I just saw them at Sonic Temple May 26th. A moshpit formed about ten foot behind me and at least 4 people that I noticed crowd surfed up to the stage during the 30 minute set. I saw them at St. Andrews Hall May 24th and there was a group of Argentinians Moshing right next to me. The floor was bouncing! The Maids love audience participation! If you want to see each of them perform individually, the 'Unseen World' 3 disc special edition boxed set has "White Room" instrumental videos of "After Life", *"NO GOD",* "Giovanni", and "Without Holding Back". Each video has a 'group edit' and a 'focus edit' on each musician: Misa, Miku, Akane, & Mincho, showing all the fingering, fret work, and Akane's drums. It's what makes the boxed sets worth the high price.
Thank you for checking out the Maids again! I saw them live last month. Only a few feet from the stage. I’m pushing 60 and I’ve seen dozens of concerts (almost every big name and then some). I had more uncontrollable fun for those two hours than I ever had at a concert. Each member has a unique charisma and personality that comes across 100% authentic. I am so proud of them. I wish them every success possible and a long, healthy career. This particular song isn’t in my top twenty, but I still “Woah ayoh ayoh!” in every chorus. I see this as a fun little anthem for crowd participation, however, Band-Maid has put out some compositions that give me emotional and physical reactions. (Material too good to be called “songs”)
Only a Psycho would talk through an entire MISA bass solo without stopping and going back to re-listen to it......AYE CARUMBA!!!! That's it.....I'm tellin' your Mom.
Lol Yes ive been told my bad on that from now on if i accidentally talk over a solo ill make sure to go back over it. Thank you for not being as hostile as others
Good reaction. Yes, Band-Maid needs to be more well-known so that more people can know that great rock music still exists. That is why people who love their music need to promote this great band whenever possible, and that goes especially for the UA-cam music channel hosts. These wonderful and innovative musicians need to be heard, otherwise they will never be fully appreciated by the public in general.
@@SychoNation I know. I forget if Saskatchewan or Alberta though. But if you’re doing planning, I guess I’ll include the other dates; Aug 8, Denver; Aug 9, Salt Lake City; Aug 11, Portland; Aug 14, Sacramento; Aug 15, Anaheim and finally Aug 18, CDMX
Nothing in my 64 years has led me to believe in any religion or the concept of a higher power except now that I've tumbled onto a lil ol band from Japan called BAND -MAID I acknowledge that at least the Gods of Rock are real and bring us these 5 Goddesses of music 😄 What a fcken band Viva the Maids peace and love Po 👍🎼🥁🎤🎸🍻
If you want to, you can go and see them in the US in August this year. They just finished a month tour in the US in May. The DVD etc of this concert from January this year, is available now.
The Band-Maid, DVD/Blu-ray (First Press Limited Edition) of the CD album Unseen World has an instrumental version of NO GOD which does 5 different versions one of all of them and individual videos focusing on each instrument. It also has 3 other songs done the same way.
Thank you for your reaction and welcome to the Unseen World, the name of the album. While some parts of the album have a little too much compaction imo, I think of the album version of No God is just fine as well, some differences but not that much. It is just great to see the Maids playing live and having so much fun. In return I suggest the MV Blooming. Have fun. :)

The music of Band-Maid can be a 'BLACK HOLE' in which you can quickly forget your good "MANNERS". 😇 For more from Kanami & Co. I also recommend one of their instrumentals like 'Onset', 'From Now On' or their, in my opinion, way too short version of "Memories of Wind and Wine (Dawn Winery Theme)" which they performed at last year's Genshin Impact Online concert. 🙋🏻♂ _____________________ 「 _"Our rock never dies ever. You asked about this song specifically, versions, and do they do it live. It's one of two songs that they have played at every live show for the last year or so (the other is Domination). It's possibly my favourite song of theirs, but not all fans loved it - until I think the band's own love of it changed a lot of minds. It's definitely better live than in the studio, but my favourite version to listen to is the other official live version on the channel, taken from a covid-online show, just because it's a flawless performance and the mix is also great. But that version is much less fun to watch than this one. As for moshing, that does occasionally happen at Band-Maid shows but it's very controversial in the fanbase. They want to be welcoming to people who might be frightened away by moshing, and there have been parents with young kids at their shows before. Band-Maid themselves asked fans in Japan to stop doing it after an incident. So maybe at an outdoor festival where there's plenty of space it's okay, but best not to at normal shows.
I don't know how old you are but they are younger than you, probably😏🤣 They are around 30 (the oldest is 32, and the youngest is 29)😉 Since you want to hear Kanami's guitar solo, I suggest you From Now On for your next Band-Maid reaction.
Alright, I forgot that you used to do this band and I forgot that that drummer killed it every single time Who is up for a drum off between her and Pau right now?
Sorry but WORST re-action to Band-maid I have ever seen You wait for the Bass solo to start then TALK over it completely complaining You can't hear the Guitar

BAND-MAID is a rare band where everyone is front.
These five women are rock geniuses and it's a miracle they got together.
"Lu la lu! Lu la lu!" - Miku Kobato
Saiki laughed cos Miku had to run back to her mic & almost missed singing "Lu Lu Lu", just cos you asked nicely :)
A few months ago I clicked on a thumbnail of 2 Japanese girls in waitress outfits playing guitar. A few months later I got on a plane and went to see them live in Houston.

Yeah, Band-Maid has several instrumentals but 'From Now On' IMO is the best of the bunch (and they are all great.)
They'll be back in August at Lollapaloosa, Minneapolis, Salt Lake City, Denver, Spokane, Anaheim, Portland, Sacramento, and Mexico City.

Cute outfits, fun and smiles, world class musical talent, and a hard-driving rock style. That's Band Maid.

I saw them in October at Houston, i saw them two weeks ago today in Daytona, and got my ticket to see them in Denver in August
You want a video of BAND-MAID's Kanami just shredding? Definitely react to FROM NOW ON (an instrumental).

BAND-MAID - NO GOD👍👍👍🤘🤘🤘👏
Kanami did some solo breaks during the 2019 European tour, the most famous of which is probably Hamburg: ua-cam.com/video/2bJXFFAqifU/v-deo.html
Thanks Sy! They are coming back in August!
Check out the new live version of Puzzle... just off the charts good. Thanks for the reaction!
If he wants to find a song where Kanami shreds throughout, then Puzzle is that song.
