Question; would these tips apply to transfer students who have a housing guarantee as well? Also do you think as a transfer student it's worth it to move onto campus to save the housing guarantee? (because if we don't move in during the fall we lose our guarantee for the year, from what we've been told :/)
I don't really know a lot about transfer housing, so I wouldn't be the expert on this, sorry :( I would reach out to Student Housing and Dining Services and see what they think.
As a freshman, I enjoyed living in the dorms because I was closer to my classes and got to meet a lot more people in my first year. But from an economic perspective, it's much cheaper to live off campus and once you get used to the bus system, living off campus is really not too much of a hassle.

Its disgusting to me that Davis apartments have year long leases with no exit clauses.
