What a thrilling peformance.! The "Prendi quest'e l'immagine" is simply heart wrenching yet Madame Zeani still manages to ensure that we do not forget the strength of Violetta's character. Such beautiful singing rich in emotion colour. Does anyone know where a complete copy of this performance in this excellent sound quality can be found?
9 minutes of ekstasis... "Digli che Alfredo è ritornato / è ritornato l'amor mio / digli che viver / che vivere ancor vogl'io. Ma se tornando non mi hai salvato / a niuno in terra salvarmi è dato"
I saw her perform Violetta here in Vancouver in the mid 60's. Wonderful!
I'm crying. Thanks for posting
Fantastic! I love this version so much. Wish I had had a chance to listen to her live

Awesome.....!!!!
The hairs on my arm are all standing up, and I think my heart just melted.
The same thing is happening to me.Isn't that amazing? Her interpretation translated into a powerful physical sensation coming from the heart.

Was this a complete broadcast of Traviata or just parts?
