Not summer weather on the Beinn Dearg circuit of four. August 2023

A day out on four munros from Inverlael near Ullapool. Starting with a walk through the woods then up the glen to the summit of Eididh Clach nan Geala, then over to Meall nan Ceapraichean, then Beinn Dearg and finally the summit of Cona Meall before returning to the car. Forecast was to be minimal cloud, .1mm precipitation and 6 mph winds. This was not the case. Best viewed in HD 4k settings. Thanks for watching and please feel free to like, subscribe and comment. Some pretty amazing shots with the clouds hanging on the tops close to the summits! There always seems to be a difference in the forecast and what is actually experienced here in Nova Scotia as well. The saying is if you don't like what you get, just wait a few minutes...so, so changeable. Take good care and enjoy the week. Bruce and Otis

I remember doing these 4 one late evening/night in the rain and mist with a cycle back into ullapool at 1am ... i was perhaps a bit keener in those days :) Must be the rubber ... must admit to never having worn boots for summer hills far preferring fell shoes with a pair of decent insoles

At 1 min 49 as you go over the bridge there is a wee path to the right that takes you to a weir , idid these a few months ago and you got way better weather than i did , zero views the whole circiut , the next day there was the mother of all rain storms , i was going to do the other single munro but nope not to be , cheers for putting this up 👍

Hi there Kenny, cracking video mate. This poxy weather we are having at the moment is awful isn't it. I've noticed lately even MWIS are getting the weather so wrong at times. I think its now just a case of get out and it will be what it will be. If we waited for good weather I don't think we'd ever get out at the moment. Haha

I haven't climbed these ones yet - they look quite dramatic, even in the murk. There seem to be two different categories of Vibram soles. The ones on my Altbergs wore down within a few months, yet usually I'd swear by Vibrams - they've been great on other boots.

thank you Natalie. I have had a few pairs of boots and 99% with vibram soles and never experienced man major traction problems..odd that it is just these ones. Looked online and there are suggestions including stick on grip pads!!spray on adhesive, or even spray on long lasting hairspray..not got any of them handy, especially the hair spray lol.
