why do u play only 1 sting, isnt that one of ur best normal summons for beetropers? Since u dont need to mill him from resonance and it gives u an extender. And isnt 1 or 2 gokipoles fine?
Sting can be played anywhere from 1 to 3 copies. When I made this video, I favoured the normal summons whose effects trigger in GY (Resonance, Gokipole, etc) because they play into boards much better going 2nd. In terms of combo potential, Sting actually isn't much better than the other starters (and obviously isn't as good as Resonance). You always need an extender to pair with your normal summon in this deck. Nowadays, however, Sting has really grown on me. It gives you access to Halq which opens up a ton of options, including Baronne lines, and I play 3 copies now for that reason.
@@coldbose fair enough, indeed resonance and gokipole play better going second, never though on goki as a normal summon, still learning combos since im new to the deck. Anyway ty u have wholesome combos. Btw have u also tried the new krawler, krawler soma, ive been trying and it seems an amazing extender, althought we need to run two bricks, what do u think?
I wouldn't really say all of these decks were meta, but you did pilot the deck very nicely. In my opinion though try playing 3 sting the poison and 3 pin the bullseye. Sting is almost as good of a starter as the scout buggy, but other than that nicely put video and nicely played games.
thanks for your comment. i actually think sting is a better starter than buggy, but i’m not a huge fan of either of them. i played 3 buggy due to it being summonable via atlas for cicada king plays (but i frequently experiment with 2 or even 0 copies). i prefer the normal summons whose effects trigger in GY as they play a bit better into disruption going 2nd. obviously the main one is resonance insect, but since this video i’ve been running more copies of retaliating “c”.
@@coldbose understandable, but what I have experienced is that sometimes I have hands that dont have enough extanders to do the comboing, so having more starters can either bait out negates. But at the end its all about the personal preference. :)
in these replays you're seeing kamakiriman and big insect mainly. sometimes i just play whichever i feel like on the day, if i'm not being serious. you want to be running one of the vanillas with 1200 atk (or 1150, in kamakiriman's case) to give you the widest range of monsters you can pop with gokipole's effect. big insect is the objective best choice in a vacuum since it has the highest def (1500). but killer needle also has its niche in formats where barrier statue of the stormwinds is being played. similar to how people were running gadarla over gameciel as their kaiju of choice back when bird-up was a popular deck.
"buy your buggies now before the 2nd wave (coming in BODE) completely breaks the deck and they become hella spenny."
This aged well

What is the normal insect monster you run in the deck?
