HERE IS THE TRUTH: If we move abroad, for example, Europe, we do not lose our Social Security Retirement Income. This only applies to Social Security DISABILITY Income (SSDI), but not Social Security RETIREMENT Income (SSI) which we have already paid taxes on. So, if you decide to retire outside of US, you will NOT be penalized for it. I've done my research, so just go for it if that's your dream. Enjoy your golden years wherever you want.
You can collect social security disability while you are overseas, ssi you CANNOT Ssdi you can, regular retirement you can , NORTH KOREA CUBA VENEZUELA AND RUSSIA YOU CANNOT REGULAR SOCIAL SECURITY OR SSDI
I'm 55 years old and I've been on SSDI for the last 25 years between SSDI and workers comp I collect 2200$ a month. Since my parents died living in the USA had become impossible for me I'm forced to leave America because I know I can live extremely comfortable in south America with this money. I've been nervous about leaving American while being on SSDi but it's finally gotten to the point where I'm on the verge of being homeless
@@GQ1921 I'm so sorry, and pray you find better options abroad. I want out of my mother's home, and am exploring living abroad as a possible option on SSDI. America is changing for the worst.
What happens if we receive SSDI because we became disabled while legally resident in the US but had to leave due to disability invalidating a work visa. I’m receiving SSDI in the UK. I worked in the US (and was disabled there) for 6 years 7 months.
Hi. My husband worked in USA for more than 10 years. He moved to india few years back. I wanted to know how can we get benefits of social security. Also is there any age limit to get the benefits as he is just 43 now. Anyone here...please help
My husband lived in the USA for 30 years and paid his taxes the whole time. He is a British citizen and currently resides in the UK after having been deported. He put in his application for retirement benefits 4 months before his 62nd birthday but has yet to receive any money or acknowledgment from social security. How should we proceed?
Greetings; my father is living overseas at age 67; due to health condition he cannot return to the U.S; he is not a U.S citizen and has paid into social security; can he contact social security abroad and request for his benefit?

I looked up a list of the places where you can receive Social Security benefits and have dual citizenship and Africa and Jamaica were not one of them they were all European countries
If I work for this money and I decide to go somewhere where people look like me I can't receive my social security benefits that's racist. If I want to go to Africa I can't receive my social security benefits to live in Africa but people can leave United States and go to Finland and New Zealand and any other place where it's predominantly white or where white people live that's racist

Don't confuse SSI with SS retirement and disability.
