I'm new to your channel. I live in no. California yet haven't been to Yosemite since age 3 so don't remember. My husband and I plan to come in our motorhome during the fall. We may wait a year, he's having low back surgery to open area for nerves that are pinched. I had butterflies in my stomach as you walked up on Cloud Rest. I don't fear heights as much as I fear the falling from heights. I've watched maybe 5 or 6 episodes today. I love you in Christ. Hugs too.

Aw girl... I totally can relate. It was a rough night that Tuesday... Even the days following. My anxiety was through the roof and I cried off and on... Saturday morning was SUCH a relief and huge breath of fresh air. We celebrated all weekend, CANNOT wait for this term to end and us back to new beginnings and positivity and love again.

We didn't feel stress and anxiety prior to the elección. It wasn't until the following day that all that was loosed on us. Still feeling it, but like everything else, we'll get through it somehow. With God's help.
OMG, Y'ALL are so close to where I live, or you were! I LOVE Yosemite! Crystal Cave the Trail of Presidents (Giant Sequoias named for the presidents), and of course the trails and Half Dome. I live east of the eastern Sierra mountains. The Mojave Desert is a high desert with high temps reaching 120 and lows in the teens!! Totally, totally understand the anxiety and love that you are real and genuine. I look to history and know that my fathers mother lived through two world wars, my uncle's scarlet fever in the 1920s when do little was known. How did they manage? They lived close to the land, ate fresh, home grown produce, meat, dairy. They spent so much time in the outdoors and had music and faith and fellowship. We can choose to do all those things too!! We also have media and connections my grandmother would not have imagined!!! I am so grateful for your videos!!! My family had pictures of my Dad driving through the tunnel tree you showed! He was driving a 1950s Chevy Bel Aire I think! My brother would know the car but I think that is right, big fins, and pointed red brake lights, cool looking!

have to say this - LOVE Drew's haircut and it makes him look younger!!! A powerful winter storm in California brought down an ancient tree, carved into a living tunnel more than a century ago. The "Pioneer Cabin Tree," a sequoia in Calaveras Big Trees State Park, saw horses and cars pass through it over the years. More recently, only hikers were allowed to walk through the massive tree. Happened in January, 2017 during a horrendous winter storm - It's unclear exactly how old the tree was, but The Los Angeles Times reports that the trees in the state park are estimated to be more than 1,000 years old. Sequoias can live for more than 3,000 years.

I love this park. My most favorite family vacation and hike (5 kids your age). We all hiked Half Dome, some of them made it only to the base of Half Dome, but Mom and Dad and oldest daughter Kristin, traversed the shear face of Half Dome to the top! Up the cables we explored, what a beautiful and amazing part of this Planet Earth we adore so much.

There are many clouds hovering over us in these stressful times, so I understand your deeply felt concern; but, may I suggest there is a rainbow at the end of the trail. In January, we finally have the chance to rejoin the Paris Climate Accord and again give us a chance in trying to save our planet & our beloved national parks. Happy trails.
I have hiked from Tenaya Lake to Clouds Rest, many times in my life! I can leave my house at 6:00 AM and be hiking by 10:30 AM. I won't get back home until 10:00 PM, which makes for an extremely long day, but sometimes I can only make it a day trip. The views from Clouds Rest are incredible when there are no forest fires.
I've just found your site and I have to say I'm loving it so far. Don't ever be shy about sharing your emotions. There are loads of other people out there that are feeling the same worries and concerns, but in these unusual times of a world wide pandemic my worries are about never losing a loved one because of this covid19. Love Yosemite! Being afraid of heights, I don’t mind entering the park through the Tioga Pass as you’re farther from the edge, but I try to avoid exiting that way! The drop off is alarming!! Love the familiar view driving through Lee Vining! Feeling emotional in these uncertain times is completely understandable, especially when the beauty that surrounds you brings emotions to the surface! Hugs❤️

This has been a stressful year and today we are back to remote school in NYC! Have to make the best of it. There is hope on the horizon; vaccines are coming and a new administration to handle the hard times with a more fact base approach and not an alternate reality. I feel like I have finally been able to exhale ...
So beautiful up there. We all have those emotions in these times which are great. Now is the time to go inwards again and find our purposes and deal with certain trauma/darkness that is hidden in us. MOst of us are in a process, some a bit more difficult than others which is completely fine. The duality is out there and some people forget their compassion and love even though they have other ways of thinking. The best we can do is all we can do as wel all have our own purpose. My path is to choose love over choosing a side, to be in harmony in the midst of all as best as I can do. Hey, btw I love Drews here, didn't even noticed that he had a haircut done, did I miss that? One of the most beautiful parks we have visited. The drive in when we were there several years ago just took my breath away. We hiked the Mist Trail up to Vernal Falls and up to Nevada Falls. We are are in our 70'S now so we would have been in our 60s. We had to put our travels on hold this year because of covid so understand part of what you are going through about this year but feel confident that next year at this time things will be so much better. Please hang in there. Find a place to hang out and keep the faith. TFS

I would like to suggest a very easy hike. Try "Indian Rock" if you are still in the park. Very little elevation change and about 45 minutes from the trailhead. Off of Tioga Pass highway.

Aw girl... I totally can relate. It was a rough night that Tuesday... Even the days following. My anxiety was through the roof and I cried off and on... Saturday morning was SUCH a relief and huge breath of fresh air. We celebrated all weekend, CANNOT wait for this term to end and us back to new beginnings and positivity and love again.

I totally feel your emotion in that moment. I've never felt so much stress and anxiety as I did the 2 weeks leading up to the election. Thank you for sharing that very real authentic moment! We didn't feel stress and anxiety prior to the elección. It wasn't until the following day that all that was loosed on us. Still feeling it, but like everything else, we'll get through it somehow. With God's help.
OMG, Y'ALL are so close to where I live, or you were! I LOVE Yosemite! Crystal Cave the Trail of Presidents (Giant Sequoias named for the presidents), and of course the trails and Half Dome. I live east of the eastern Sierra mountains. The Mojave Desert is a high desert with high temps reaching 120 and lows in the teens!! Totally, totally understand the anxiety and love that you are real and genuine. I look to history and know that my fathers mother lived through two world wars, my uncle's scarlet fever in the 1920s when do little was known. How did they manage? They lived close to the land, ate fresh, home grown produce, meat, dairy. They spent so much time in the outdoors and had music and faith and fellowship. We can choose to do all those things too!! We also have media and connections my grandmother would not have imagined!!! I am so grateful for your videos!!! My family had pictures of my Dad driving through the tunnel tree you showed! He was driving a 1950s Chevy Bel Aire I think! My brother would know the car but I think that is right, big fins, and pointed red brake lights, cool looking!

A powerful winter storm in California brought down an ancient tree, carved into a living tunnel more than a century ago. The "Pioneer Cabin Tree," a sequoia in Calaveras Big Trees State Park, saw horses and cars pass through it over the years. More recently, only hikers were allowed to walk through the massive tree. Happened in January, 2017 during a horrendous winter storm - It's unclear exactly how old the tree was, but The Los Angeles Times reports that the trees in the state park are estimated to be more than 1,000 years old. Sequoias can live for more than 3,000 years.

Covid shut down my travels for last 3 years, but soon I will be on my way again. Enjoying your adventures because I am waiting to get on with my.

I love this park. My most favorite family vacation and hike (5 kids your age). We all hiked Half Dome, some of them made it only to the base of Half Dome, but Mom and Dad and oldest daughter Kristin, traversed the shear face of Half Dome to the top! Up the cables we explored, what a beautiful and amazing part of this Planet Earth we adore so much.
Wonderful scenery! We are all right there with you in experiencing election stress an anxiety! How wonderful you could take care of it by being in nature and hiking together in beautiful Yosemite.

Thanks for sharing your love of our national parks. Our parks are truly a national treasure and, during the pandemic, fun for many of us of us to visit through your youtube Chanel. There are many clouds hovering over us in these stressful times, so I understand your deeply felt concern; but, may I suggest there is a rainbow at the end of the trail. In January, we finally have the chance to rejoin the Paris Climate Accord and again give us a chance in trying to save our planet & our beloved national parks. Happy trails.
I have hiked from Tenaya Lake to Clouds Rest, many times in my life! I can leave my house at 6:00 AM and be hiking by 10:30 AM. I won't get back home until 10:00 PM, which makes for an extremely long day, but sometimes I can only make it a day trip. The views from Clouds Rest are incredible when there are no forest fires.

Love Yosemite! Being afraid of heights, I don’t mind entering the park through the Tioga Pass as you’re farther from the edge, but I try to avoid exiting that way! The drop off is alarming!! Love the familiar view driving through Lee Vining! Feeling emotional in these uncertain times is completely understandable, especially when the beauty that surrounds you brings emotions to the surface! Hugs❤️

Thank you for the beautiful video and honest emotions. Yosemite is a magical place. I was there about 10 years ago as well, with my son who was just a boy at the time. This has been a stressful year and today we are back to remote school in NYC! Have to make the best of it. There is hope on the horizon; vaccines are coming and a new administration to handle the hard times with a more fact base approach and not an alternate reality. I feel like I have finally been able to exhale ...
So beautiful up there. We all have those emotions in these times which are great. Now is the time to go inwards again and find our purposes and deal with certain trauma/darkness that is hidden in us. MOst of us are in a process, some a bit more difficult than others which is completely fine. The duality is out there and some people forget their compassion and love even though they have other ways of thinking. The best we can do is all we can do as wel all have our own purpose. My path is to choose love over choosing a side, to be in harmony in the midst of all as best as I can do. Hey, btw I love Drews here, didn't even noticed that he had a haircut done, did I miss that? Probably was eating breakfast then ;) Love you guys, just be you 🙏🙌❤️

One of the most beautiful parks we have visited. The drive in when we were there several years ago just took my breath away. We hiked the Mist Trail up to Vernal Falls and up to Nevada Falls. We are are in our 70'S now so we would have been in our 60s. We had to put our travels on hold this year because of covid so understand part of what you are going through about this year but feel confident that next year at this time things will be so much better. Please hang in there. Find a place to hang out and keep the faith. TFS

Yosemite is one of my favorite places to visit. I feel so connected to the earth when I am there. I can relate to your turmoil. I don't think that I will be able to relax until after the Electoral College vote.

I skied through that tree on the snow probably 38 years ago the park was closed to drive through traffic but you could cross country ski it

I would like to suggest a very easy hike. Try "Indian Rock" if you are still in the park. Very little elevation change and about 45 minutes from the trailhead. Off of Tioga Pass highway.

Love it. I’m ready to go back to Yosemite. We spent 4 nights there about 3 years ago. I’m pretty sure I could be there for 2 or 3 weeks and not be ready to leave.
