For anyone struggling to kill this boss, 3 Ice grenades can take down his shield, or you can do power surge/ burn to get it down even faster. I'm running it with the KAM Crank, BBQ Gloves & Heavy Duty set, you just have to land hits on the boss for the burns to kill it in no time. It kinda skips the whole "shoot the invincible sun on the staff" mechanic... or at least that's what I think it is... might be wrong, but idc, cause I don't have to deal with it ^^
