You should get a sample size of the paint colors so you can actually see it painted on the wall before you chose a color. The lighting can change the color so much. Simply white ended up being super bright in my space so I was happy I tried it first to know I didn’t like it
Put a dryer sheet in the bins with your clothes if you think they will smell musty!!! I always put dryer sheets in my bins with clothes/blankets and have never had an issue :)
So exciting!! I have simply white on all the walls in my house and its the perfect white! We used chantilly lace for all the trims and moldings and they pair beautifully with each other! Congratulations on this exciting step in your lives!
Eeee yay I’m so excited for the moving vlogs, one of my favorite videos you do😊 I’m so happy for you & Max, I can’t wait to see everything come together🥰
Girly you NEED to get paint samples and put it on the different walls, they will never look the same as on the paint swatch because of the lighting in every room! Pick like 4 swatches you like and then tape them on the walls in the diff rooms :) From experience, some will look more yellow in a room, more grey, more dark, more light
We just painted our cape cod house! We did satin white dove on the trim and eggshell seapearl for the walls. I love the seapearl, it’s a chameleon color and looks different in every light.
I have these bins for everything. A 75 gallon hot water heater from the upstairs apartment leaked into mine a few years ago and I lost almost everything so I invested in bins for everything. The peace of mind is priceless and it makes organizing easier because I can see everything and they stack perfectly. I got mine at Target.
When we've moved we keep all our closet clothes on the hangers and put trash bags over them and poke the hangers through the top of the bag. Saves time! If you're driving some items you could take the closet clothes in the car so movers don't mess them up!
We’re really on such a similar house-hunting/moving journey timeline!! Currently surrounded by boxes and it’s so overwhelming. Fountain Diet Coke sounds like what I need to stay motivated!!
Yes, we used to store our winter clothes in bins the basement over the warm months. I would put in moth balls with them to be safe and those packing packets that absorb humidity and then we usually air them out when we take them out. The process is a pain in the a$$ so we eventually bought fabric hanging closets from Walmart and put them in the basement and we store them in there now.
I would say def swatch on the walls but I have a very natural style as well and went Atrium White on all my walls and I feel like it’s the perfect warm yet bright white with big windows!! I think you’d love ❤
Hi Gretchen happy Thursday afternoon and I hope you having amazing day today and I loved your packed with me vlogs and this was amazing video I enjoy your channel
the moving content is starting!!! so exciting!! no I don't think your bins will get musky at all! just keep them in a dry place with no humidity as possible :)
We both moved to Allentown the same week in 2020 and I’ve been hoping ever since then that we’d run into each other and become friends lol I’m sad that you’re leaving the LV but so excited for your new adventure 🩷🩷
Keep clothes on the hanger and put the thru a trash bag upside down poke the hanger top thru the bottom of the bag then all you do is take the trash bag off and rehang them! Makes moving clothes so easy
We literally just bought a house too and picked simply white by BM!! Go with it, it’s beautiful, bright white but not sterile it definitely has a warm feel🫶🏼
There’s a basement humidifier check on that just have it installed with the air system it takes out the smell and purifies clothes won’t get moldy or anything hope this helps if you like I can send the pic of ours best of luck with the move!❤❤❤
I just painted my living dining simply white I lovve it so much! It is white but not hospital sterile white! It’s beautiful esp in sunny rooms you’ll love it! My family room is Chantilly lace which is white
They bought it as a permanent home but also will rent an apartment in whatever city Max needs to be in to play hockey. Basically they’ll only live in the house full-time during his off season
ok, hot tip! get vaccum bags! Just make sure to fill your bag, put it in the bin and then vaccum it tight. It will let you fit SOO much more in the bins!
lol oh Gretchen, love ya, but you have exponentially more clothes than you think you do! like the scale at which you are packing needs to be upped big time. and like every other comment down here, i would HIGHLY recommend a vacuum seal bag situation otherwise your moving truck is gonna be mostly your clothes lmao
You could also ask the painters to weigh in on the color. They would know how it will wear, how it will work with the natural/artificial light, etc. Happy trails! p.s. Loved the skating. Max is cool.
If there is any musky smell/mold in the garage please get it checked out by a professional its not healthy to be breathing it in and spreading the spores :S
Gretchen I noticed you’re wearing your hair in a claw clip a lot I just wanted to spread the word in case you didn’t see this on tiktok but basically a girl got into a car accident wearing a claw clip in her hair which blocked her head from going back into her drivers seat when the airbag went off and she broke her back😣 it sounded rly scary so I just wanna tell everyone I see not to wear a claw clip in the car just in case!
375,000 people enjoy watching you pack to move! Amazing times! Find new ways to make $$$ off these watching eyes because once your content is more thrilling you can keep printing money!
I love how Max folds his stuff all nice and neat while Gretchen just piles it in and lays on it to squish it down 😂
Vacuum seal bags of clothes then put them in storage totes you'll be able to put so much more in the totes and it'll keep clothes from getting musky!
agreed !!
Gretchen you should totally get vacuum seal clothing bags to minimize the space of your coats and keep them fresh!!
Loved that you took a break from packing to skate outside. So fun!
Vacuum sealed bags will keep them clean and allow more space in each bin!
Bars of specialty, beautiful smelling soap, still in wrappers, helps keep the clothes in the bins smelling good!

Eeee yay I’m so excited for the moving vlogs, one of my favorite videos you do😊 I’m so happy for you & Max, I can’t wait to see everything come together🥰
GRETCHEN you NEED the vacuum seal bags!! They are incredible especially for bulky stuff like winter coats, sweaters, even pillows and bedding!!
Girl you are on it with the videos! So excited for you and max! ❤
The rollerblade content was so wholesome with you brod and max❤️🥺
Girly you NEED to get paint samples and put it on the different walls, they will never look the same as on the paint swatch because of the lighting in every room! Pick like 4 swatches you like and then tape them on the walls in the diff rooms :) From experience, some will look more yellow in a room, more grey, more dark, more light

YESS BRING ON THE MOVING VLOGS!! loved the little skating bit with you guys and brody 🤍

get some cedar wood pieces to put in your clothes boxes to prevent moths from eating your clothes

At first I was thinking, wow, Max is really good on skates! Then my brain woke up. Duh, of course he is. Skating is literally his job. 😂
Yes, we used to store our winter clothes in bins the basement over the warm months. Girl!!!! You don’t need that many coats! 😂 Good luck on your new adventure. Look forward to the updates
“And you’re a Beis girlie!” PLEASE GRETCHEN
Good luck on your moving and moving into your new place so happy for you both 😊
1000% get a dehumidifier for the basement, especially for cape cod which historically has very bad mold problems, esp in summer
I would say def swatch on the walls but I have a very natural style as well and went Atrium White on all my walls and I feel like it’s the perfect warm yet bright white with big windows!! I think you’d love ❤
i think you need those vacuum sealed bags and then put them in the bins. they take up so much space, when the air is out they're tiny!
Hi Gretchen happy Thursday afternoon and I hope you having amazing day today and I loved your packed with me vlogs and this was amazing video I enjoy your channel
Bring your paint chip samples to your new home and put them in the natural light!
the moving content is starting!!! so exciting!! no I don't think your bins will get musky at all! just keep them in a dry place with no humidity as possible :)

if you’re worried about the moisture in the basement i would get a dehumidifier! My mom uses one in our basement and it sucks all the moisture out!!
Buy a dehumidifier for your basement. They help a lot moisture.
Swiss coffee is a great off white color, I have it all over my house with chantilly lace as the trim and ceilings
I have White Dove on all my walls and Chantilly Lace on my fire place and I love it!
Chantilly lace for trim, silver strand for walls. I work for a developer in RI/MA. It’s a tried and true combo. Very neutral and light.
I would wait to paint because you really want to get actual samples and see what it looks like in the lighting of the house.
Get vacuum bags to compress seasonal items in the bins!!!!!!
We literally just bought a house too and picked simply white by BM!! Go with it, it’s beautiful, bright white but not sterile it definitely has a warm feel🫶🏼
Shoji White by Sherwin Williams is so pretty!!
There’s a basement humidifier check on that just have it installed with the air system it takes out the smell and purifies clothes won’t get moldy or anything hope this helps if you like I can send the pic of ours best of luck with the move!❤❤❤
Love your vlogs. Just some advice when you’re packing your clothes, if you fold them neatly, you might be able to fit more in the boxes.😮
I just painted my living dining simply white I lovve it so much! It is white but not hospital sterile white! It’s beautiful esp in sunny rooms you’ll love it! My family room is Chantilly lace which is white
We did simple white in our remodel :) it’s bright but decor POPS
Put some dryer sheets layered throughout the clothes or on the side to keep the freshness
Dryer sheets help with keeping bugs out
Put a fabric softener sheet in the storage ❤️
You need to get those vacuum seal bags!!
Wait! I’m confused did you buy the house to stay there for only 3mo? Or will you be away for the honey season for Max then coming back?
They bought it as a permanent home but also will rent an apartment in whatever city Max needs to be in to play hockey. Basically they’ll only live in the house full-time during his off season
Put dryer sheets in the bins of clothes you’ll be storing!! :)
I have simply white in our home! It’s a great choice and very flexible.
Good luck
I love thé off white
white dove mixed with simply white (you can do 50/50)
Can you leave the clothes in the draws and wrap the dressers in plastic for the move?
ok, hot tip! get vaccum bags! Just make sure to fill your bag, put it in the bin and then vaccum it tight. It will let you fit SOO much more in the bins!
Omg so funny you mentioned Lauren Oshie! She’s a good friend of mine!
Benjamin Moore 2017 white color "simply white" is great!!
The ziplock vacuum bags would have been amazing for this 😅
Put your stuff in vacuum sealed storage bags and they won't get musty at all!
Hi!! Can you tell me the brand of grey shorts you are wearing in this Vlog please
Vacuum seal the winter jackets
I am moving out of my apartment right now too. My place is crazy! 😅😂
You Guys Need to Have a Massive Garage Sale 😂👍
You guys are awesome 🎉
always go lighter for the paint!
Pack your clothes with dryer sheets!
just painted a whole place white just make sure its a warm white
You need vacuum seal bags for your clothes.
I’m going to guptills tonight for ice cream
You could just keep the things in the dresser and have the movers move it full. That’s what I’ve done the past few times I’ve moved
you should space bag your coats
lol oh Gretchen, love ya, but you have exponentially more clothes than you think you do! like the scale at which you are packing needs to be upped big time. and like every other comment down here, i would HIGHLY recommend a vacuum seal bag situation otherwise your moving truck is gonna be mostly your clothes lmao
Your lucky he will listen and seem interested when you talk about paint colors. My husband refuses to even have the discussion with me.
throw a bounce dryer sheet in the bin with the clothes
Gretchennnn, have you had something done to your jawline?🙈🙈
Are you leaving soon Gretchen max guys
You’re just stuffing them 🤦🏽♀️ fold them
You could also ask the painters to weigh in on the color. They would know how it will wear, how it will work with the natural/artificial light, etc. Happy trails! p.s. Loved the skating. Max is cool.
If there is any musky smell/mold in the garage please get it checked out by a professional its not healthy to be breathing it in and spreading the spores :S
Don’t do classic gray pls! I hated it you can do white dove or alabaster
put dryer sheets in the bins!
