Depression changes the chemicals in the brain that help with memory and makes it difficult for the brain to concentrate and focus on things, including forming new memories. As a result, past experiences may feel distant or fade away, contributing to memory difficulties.

Basically chaotic evil are folks who focus on their desires and will do anything to get what they want, since hisoka literally help crippled the phantom troupe so he can fight against their leader and even when he didn’t get what he wanted, he still continue’s to associate with them until he finally got what he desired.🤔🐱

I always enjoy the many kinds of evil displayed in media seeing how each villain acts and unleashes their evil on to the series is always a joy and a fascinating think to witness. I got to say one of my favorite evils are the ones you don't see come from characters you don't expect it from. I love your series looking at villains, it really makes me looking back and see why I enjoyed them and their evil nature. Thanks for this video Axel~!!!

I would say you should give Tokyo Ghoul a try (specifically the Manga thou, season 2 is questionable let's put it that way;) and even S1 left things out that are important)
I think you could find some "villains" in this series as well, but some characters are just missing something (for example the Doctor who turned Kaneki into a Half-Ghoul)
Don't know if you have only seen the anime, but imo if youd want to experience Tokyo Ghoul at it's best: "Just read the Manga" simple as that/ if Mappa gave TG the Brotherhood treatment it would most likely be Glorious.

I have to disagree with Dio falling into the catagory of "pure evil for the sake of being evil" he is more one of the godcomplex characters in any part he appears in
Part 1: Believes himself superior, due to his upbringing he is very money focused and does everything to earn more money until he becomes a Vampire where he obtains a godcomplex
Part 3: Believes himself the superior being and should therefore rule the world
Part 6: Believes that obtaining heaven is the right way for humanity, as someone who kept on losing he sees it that everyone should probably feel the same way about it, similar to someone like Madara his evil in part 6 is wanting to force his goal upon humanity without choice

It honestly sucks for mha what they did with the current stuff. It feels like complex motivations have been sidelined for the comically evil bad guy, the power scaling is literally stupid, and it feels like Tenko is being sidelined when he should have been the main villain. I also hate the whole thing they have started doing of trying to redeem these characters, like you can’t redeem tenko who has killed hundreds if not thousands in cold blood and even then the courts would still kill him anyways. It annoying since I liked the show a lot but after the PLF arcs ending it’s just started falling off. Really sad. Would have been neat too as they could have made tenko a sympathetic character who is still irredeemable because of what he did. Your past explains your actions but it doesn’t excuse them.

This isn't a villain but considering what she does I would consider her pretty evil. Mihari oyama from onimai. She drugged her NEET and shut in brother to "rehabilitate" him. She turned him into a little girl, the only reason I can see for this is so she would have all power over him. I think she only did this because she wanted to replace him(Since he was NEET and all) and she wanted a younger sister(just theorizing). She does a lot of stuff without asking him. In the ending there was no rehabilitation, he just stayed a little girl. He didn't improve his life, It was forcefully replaced and she manipulated him into wanting it. She could've stopped and not given him the drug in the ending or at least given him a tiny dose. She's basically manipulating I think similarly to makima. Instead of facing his life he ran from it and got a new one.

Yet another great video. I love your so very meaningful and well presented dives into these themes. Even (or maybe partly because) they remind me which anime I definitely should watch. Thanks for both.
Edit (after finishing. I've got to be more patient with posting...): I was waiting for Bondrewd to pop up. Maybe my favourite villain so far for just tremendously well he is written in my eyes. (all of "Made in Abyss" at that. High quality for sure). Inducing phylosophical questions and sending chills down my spine. Hardly possible to have an essay and great and terrifying villains without him.
Same for Naraku of course. You just hate him, love to hate him, with (spoiler) the twist that at the very end, in his last moments, you kind of feel for him/te humanity left in him too.
I'm not so sure about my least favourite villains. Likely because if they don't touch me that much, I don't remember them so well.
Also, just a side not, great job on explaining the difference between amoral and immoral. It roughly the same than psychopathy vs. sociopathy.

    • @Ra1d3n-np9lr

In my eyes there are two Zeref’s
The first Zeref is a kind hearted man who would do anything for the sake of those he loves and sacrifice anything for the safety of others.
The second Zeref appears when Zeref gets rid of his love for life he is cold, unfeeling and evil hellbent on destroying everything including himself.

    1:32
    What about rich people
I would argue that people like the Coke brothers (only one now thank goodness) or Besos are more like Hisoka
They aren't aganst of chaos because they stand on top of the order but they do hold one thing selfishly above everything else and disregard others for that.
Really most evil comes from a spectrum of apathy and destain combined with our natural inflexibility failing to be overcome
Pure apathy being the Stanley Milgram obedience experiments or the BTK killer
A mix being the guards from the holocaust or the brown eyes blue eyes experiment
Pure destain being killdozer who only didn't kill anyone because of good luck on their part or Elliot Rodger the first incel mass shooter.
Your idea that only cartoon people and serial killers are really evil and that people who consistently do evil but operate on a morals apply until they don't mentality aren't evil is kinda dumb
In summary the coke brothers are real evil and the sith from star wars are caricatures of evil
Any definition of evil that does not include the coke brothers is wrong just like any definition of terrorist that includes the rebels from star wars is wrong
Almost no one is a literal human demon who sets out with the goal of maximizing evil
Most of the time peoples goals just make evil happen as a side effect but it's not something the bad guy cares about because although everything has a price that price can be paid by other people and will be to get them where they want to be

I think one of the most interesting kinds of evil I’ve seen is Bondrewd from made in Abyss. He’s basically Shou Tucker with no shame and even less ethics. However, he has no resentment, no remorse, no belief that what he does is “for the greater good”. The bastard does it because he wants to know what will happen. I’d explore anyone who hasn’t to watch Made in Abyss. It’s… not a happy time, but on top of incredible characters and art, it also has intricate and fantastic world building.
