OceanborN7 i was very surprised by hat since they said it would be a mix of quantum enigma and design your universe (or requiem from the indifferent i can’t remember)
@@elitoole570 Mark Jansen said it's gonna be more similar to The Quantum Enigma and Design Your Universe. But I do expect some new stuff as well!
Still, I'd love to hear more Death Metal elements and complex guitar riffs in that album (like in Requiem for the Indifferent).
It's not very catchy, but it's better than that... It might take the average listener some time to like this music, but once you start growing fond of it, it becomes an absolute eargasm.
@@blivion7203 There might be some elements of those albums yes, but these guys always bring something new. I think we can still expect to be surprised by whatever comes out this year. Their quality has been consistent thus far, which is why im especially hyped for this bands release.

Following Epica for more than a decade now, it's so nice to see the band recording their masterpieces with the support of a big orchestra, everything arranged in just one place, feeling alive and very vibrant. Ah no I don't really know anything interesting, I wasn't even aware of it having a real orchestra instead of separated sections like on the previous albums. But thinking about that, since MaYaN has done it with Dhyana, it seemed to be the logical step for Epica to continue in that path and take it to the next level.

Let's not forget Requiem for the Indifferent, Antagonise and Quarterpast. All are great (I generally don't like using the word "masterpiece").
@Hezekiah Rodriguez Oh... I'm pretty sure Mark Jansen said that it's quite the contrary... (on a 2012 interview) That he had no inspiration for making a better EPICA album after Design Your Universe, so founding MaYaN helped him retrieve his inspiration for writing Requiem for the Indifferent.
Maaaan that sounds AWESOME 🔥🔥 I'd be satisfied to get the instrumental until the album comes out 🤘
