I just watched this movie last night. It blew me away (no pun intended)! The entire film, scene to scene, shot to shot, is totally seamless and blends perfectly. The acting is great, and the fact that this movie was shot on real film is just icing on the cake. The dialogue, the character building, the way the characters interact are so old school in the best way possible, while still in a modern setting (you know, the way movies ought to be made). Aside from the very modern weather technology, if I didn't know any better, and someone were to tell me that this film was made 15 years ago, I probably would have believed them.
They also shot a good portion in and around Orienta (Lone Ranger gas station) and Fairview (hotel and other shots). These small towns in OK is where I grew up. Super cool!

Glen was absolutely right in what he said about Lee Isaac Chung- truly the best thing about this movie is the characters, and without his passion as a director, it just wouldn’t be the same
Love this movie! Enjoyed the first Twister movie (apart from the awful CGI cow!) but this one really nailed it. The cast were great as was the locations in Oklahoma which I am hoping to visit in a year or so (I'm in Australia) and go to El Reno etc and do some chasing with folks we know here that go over each year to chase storms.
AS one who grew up in tornado alley - both movies are great. This is my favorite though because Glen - is good, really good. I would have had Daisy interact more with supporting characters - just a bit more to develop her role more. But she was great as it was.

Daisy fired such a great job playing Kate that it's hard NOT to tell in love with her character. Pretty, very smart, brave, funny, and not afraid to and doesn't show her emotions. That character IS the girl next door that you just can't wait to see again the next day. My only complaint is, even thou I've always enjoyed watching Maura Tierney, WHY ON EARTH wasn't Helen Hunt brought back to play Kate's mother??? When Kate returns home and called out for her mom and the camera turns to a silhouette entering the scene I knew FOR SURE Helen Hunt was going to walk in. Sadly that didn't occur.
I thought it was a lot better than the first Twister movie. It really stays true to what storm chasers go through in real life. How they spend their time chasing to save lives and how much they love what they do. However the main part I had a problem with it was the truck and how it had those spikes that only went 2 feet into the ground without any armor on the vehicle like Reed Timmer has on his Ford F250 diesel. In real life, that truck would have been sucked up and spit out by the tornado. All in all Twisters is an awesome film and definately the best movie of the summer
And you just said my exact thoughts on the whole Hollywood Ram truck idea. In fact the got that idea from Reed Timmer. Real tornado would've flipped that thing and then some. - Trained NWS storm spotter.
It makes me so happy that they actually crashed a real damaged T-121 through the window of the building I'm just frustrated that they were so high-budget that they bought a real siren for the movie and immediately destroyed it without even setting it off on set fore more realism
Oh, who is the real combo? I mean this is not the toy story movie oh I mean this is the twister movie yeah yeah I am at Theo and all of the characters is one of my favorite characters. Is Daisy from this movie twister
I wish that they'd used actual real storm chasers real.footage in the movie instead of wind machines. It would of.given the characters alot.more realism to work.with.

I’m cautiously optimistic because the last three weekends I’ve seen planet of the apes, fly me to the moon and twisters and it felt like pre 2016 before Hollywood went woke mad due to a certain politician winning. These movies were just enjoyable entertainment with no over the top lecturing and virtue signaling. I’m glad this movie made a lot of money. Hollywood you paying attention?

Not really. But when they were planning to shoot the downtown scene, an tornado hit the movie set and the crew had to reset everything
I know! Every tornado scene feels and looks so real (not that I've ever been in one)!
