Thanks for sharing this outstanding film. It harkens me back to my grade school days and the types of movies that were shown in the classroom during that era. Your channel never disappoints!

Johansson gauge blocks and analog instruments have been replaced with laser measuring devices and digital instruments. Computer programming now performs simulations which overcomes human errors in testing.

True. But they only test and produce parts/vehicles to hold together for the duration of the warranty. These cars were designed to last for decades. Different mindset and priorities. Sad what we've become. This is why many of these old cars are still around and running. I'm betting that 99.9% of what we buy today will be around 90-100 years from now. Cheers my friend.

@@giggiddy Few cars of that era lasted more than a decade or over 100,000 miles.

Back in the day when engineers and designers used human intelligence and not rely on “AI”, artificial idiocies.👏!

Now-a-days new vehicle design testing is left to the public as evidenced by the proliferation of "lemon laws".... usually cheeper in the long run than producing quality machines...

I don't understand the title.. what is the "Rouge A"? I assumed it was referencing the Model A, but the Model A was no longer made by 1939.

I depends on how many detail items you call a part.
.the two 6203 series ball bearings in the generator could just not be counted since in the generator thus 0.
Or maybe as 2 parts ie assemblies in the generator
Or do you count say the all the parts in those 2 ball bearings? ???
Ie 2 inner races. 2 outer races 2 ball separators 4 shields say 18 balls. 2 dabs of grease??
How about the generator do you count the 52 lamination on the armature? 67 lamination on the fixed poles?
Do you count say the invidual wire turns if each is actually soldered to tabs?
You could thus have 0 for the generator and say it's part of the engine or add all its tiny parts and have it go up by many hundreds of parts.
Do you count the transmission as 1 part or 0 or just use the number 2500 that includes all the tiny balls in each ball bearing?
Is label on an item a part?
Unless you want to dwell the details you cannot come up with a number.
Most non technical folks want low numbers. Ie an automatic transmission is just 1 part lol
