Grabe naman sila ang sumira ng kalikasan at nakinabang sa mga natural resources . Sila pa ang nakakuha ng desilting project sa ilog.Kung saan nga ay nag caused ng flooding sa community na sila ang may sala,labis na ito, kailangan may managot.

I am a regular watcher of your Chikahan Program in YT. tama ka sa sinasabi mo na walang consultation among the resident of our Barangay, Camaman, wherein napaka laking Canal na ginawa na Hindi na address Ang aming problema sa baha , 3 hrs na continuous rain, baha na. Parang table planning lang at walang consultation Ang the residents. Matagal na itong problema hanngang ngayon nandyan pa Rin , it's a waste of money!

This kind of initiative from the people, concerned or not ought to be the barometer of every candidate wishing to serve any government level, the boldness to face the challenges even the so called "mignty". People's welfare must always prevail.
Same Community experience we had here in Negros. I remember our anti-coal campaign, 1999-2002. It started when the proponent of a 50-MW coal-fired power plant had the community presentation via our Church, the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Pulupandan, Negros Occidental. At the forum, there was an instant opposition to the project, this was because of our 25-year experience of coal pollution from a much smaller coal-fired boiler of a distillery in our midst. Within the week after that forum, we mobilized sectors in town-the Churches and their organizations, the professionals, farmers, fisherfolks, vendors, drivers, barangay folks. the schools, the big landowners etc. We did research and info dissemination via radio and the print media . We did a massive community pulong-pulong and signature campaign to oppose the project. It was a tiring part of our lives but so inspiring that people united, pitched in piso-piso from their own pockets to spend for our everyday campaign activities. There was no NGO helping us financially, but we sustained. We wrote to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan members, pestering them with our visits every week only to make them not to endorse the project, the Senators, government agencies beside the DENR. Despite the massive opposition, the LGU from the Barangay to Municipal units endorsed the project. The project was granted a midnight ECC at the height of EDSA2. We made our own ECC countering several points raised in the project's ECC, and filed a case to the DENR. We wrote to the funding banks, the technology and coal suppliers abroad and readied for hunger strikes at the Capitol if necessary. It was hell for us but we did not stop opposing until the new DENR Secretary , Heherson Alvarez went down here in Pulupandan, sat down separately with the Pro and Anti groups. Finally, a day before my 44th birthday in 2001, the ECC was recalled. We still attended the case hearings of the proponent's motion for reconsideration until a year later, we were informed that the proponent declared bankcruptcy because their funding bank rejected their loan, the technology partner also went bankcrupt.

Ang laki pala ng budget para sa Flood Control projects of 1.14 trillion pesos allocations for the past years. Bakit lalo yata lumalala yun baha problems tuwina may bagyo! Tapos para lang maka bawi sa mamanayan hetong ibang mga politiko, ayun lugaw at itlog lang pala ang pinamimigay pang pogi points eh. Tapos meron dyan mga congressman humuhirit at kulang pa daw yun flood control budget nila eh. Dapat kung seryoso talaga yun administration. Alamin kung meron korupsyon na nangyari at magkaroon ng tamang plano para hindi na maulit ang mapinsalang baga sa tuwina na lang may bagyo dumadaan sa bansa.
