Wrestling Tiger Sharks? (or becoming the shark whisperer)

  • Back in 2008 when we last worked with Tiger sharks, things were different. We were thrilled just to be in the water with Tiger sharks and no cage. But in the past few years, interactions with Tiger sharks have become much more engaging. Now the sharks are being hand fed and handled by divers. In this exciting segment, Jonathan learns how to flip a Tiger shark from experienced shark handlers Connor Cassidy and Rich D'Argento aboard the Dolphin Dream.

You've presented this in a balanced way: showing their gentle side in this context while still reminding us of their wildness.

Actually, all things that live on the earth be it humans animals and plants have the same soul. The reason why these 'predators' become enraged or aggressive is because they feel scared and threatened just like how we do. And it is also because they are hungry and need to eat just like we do.

These videos have really helped me reassure my daughter that sharks aren't monstrous, evil creatures, but rather admirable, intelligent apex predators that, approached with knowledge and caution, can be observed and interacted with in relative safety. Obviously i've told her they are potentially dangerous, but that they don't actively seek out human prey. Thank you for presenting a balanced viewpoint on a much maligned and hugely misunderstood species group, she is now very interested and watches these videos with me to go to sleep. Considering that she was having nightmares about sharks thanks to what she's learned in preschool, you've done us a service! I sincerely hope the oceanic species diversity is still as interestingly varied by the time she reaches further education age as I think she may be interested enough to consider marine biology as a career path.

Wow, learning how to feed the sharks is key for safety and future relationship records and linage experience.
The flipping of the sharks is just something gentle as a defensive style of evading grace.
What’s more important is the haptic touch that the sharks like.
The feelings of influences pressure that’s tendering the ease of pain and lack of feeling experience where they are new from human touch handlings even finessed by petting rubs of reassurance and appreciation.
Even other advanced touches and maneuvers later as well.
The flipping of sharks might cause a sense of small and minor discomforts in regards to equilibrium spated differences?
However it the sense of play that the sharks feel, maybe helping their anger or sadness to feel the easing and unpaining of neglect and dis-famileerized fun, natured?
Feeding the sharks beef is costly and also a better cross reference choice.
I wonder if people can help donate, too?
