I know Ineos have been getting a lot of criticism lately over the new manager situation, but i really do see them actually working and making changes. Its so refreshing to have owners who want to improve things. And the fact we've heard more from Sir Jim in a few months than all the glazers combined in 18 years, we just need to be patient and not so reactive and maybe in a few seasons we could actually be back to where we want
I believe we have the right manager and all we need now is the right players in key positions that we are at our weakest. Soon as the spine is strengthened with rotational academy players and we’re good to go and strengthen from that platform for the future. 😎

A lot of the criticism is coming from people who moan about leaks, but also want stuff to moan about, because INEOS are not running the club like a 12 year old playing on XBox any more.
United fans will always want to moan. It was good that the thing they moaned about was... not having something to moan about.

I had to turn the volume off on ITV last night, (I fucking hate ITV at the best of times...) when Saka banged it in, then it got flagged for Foden's offside and the wank-spanner on commentary explained that "Foden's problem" was that he was "Too good for his own good!"

I feel Todibo is perfect for United, checks all the boxes. Plus United can send over some high profile reserves to Nice, players like Hannibal etc can develop there, with lower expectations. I think there was always this arrangement between clubs since goodness knows how long, there have been feeder clubs like forever now. I feel if there is a fee involved, player wants to come, they should not back down. This does not make sense, particularly if they pay each other... it's not like he is coming for 1 pound or something...
And even then, Nice and United should collaborate more closely, I feel Dan Gore or other younger players will benefit immensely from developing in the Nice first team. UEFA objecting to this does not make any sense at all.

There's no way the Red Bull clubs would accept this kind of thing going forward, so no issues with United challenging it. If UEFA have decided related party sponsorships are okay if they're at fair market value then dont see why transfers aren't okay as well. It's either all okay or none of it's okay.
Definitely, as long as it's at an arms length price and above board I don't see why it's not allowed. It should really be the players preferred option.

Re the comment about the Ronaldo interview: Correlation does not equal causation. More coincidental that Ronaldo, after slating Ragnick for being a nobody, leaving games early, not doing his job off the ball, only scoring against a Cypriot team once in Europe and EVERTON in the league, spits his dummy out and lashes out at the hand that feeds him (saying little we didn't already know) and getting his move to a retirement league, and we then start to see the fruits of ten Hag changes on the training pitch and off-field expedited by a new set up/direction following investment.

Does the transfer restriction apply to UEFA competitions only, or does it apply to domestic ones too? If it's the former, we should just withdraw from Europa (which is a poisoned chalice) next season so that we can build a better squad asap.
To be fair, Keane was an 8 when Ince was part of the furniture. He evolved into a 6 as he matured with defensive discipline replacing the energy he had in the few years after he signed. And when Butt and Keane started together, they would have alternated with both being comfortable with playing both roles.

Inter Milan has been the best team with a 2 striker partnership over the last years. Even made old men like Dzeko and Arnoutovic look more than decent.

During yesterdays match, I looked up Southgates backroom staff (given the show he was providing for the nation). Steve Holland is his right hand man, and he's ALWAYS been an assistant, career highlights being working at Chelsea under such attacking masterminds as:

Guus Hiddink (OK an exception that proves the rule)

Rabiot wants 200k plus if United was to sign him on a 3 or even 2 year deal at 29 it would be a terrible signing. 10-15 million per season over a deal for Rabiot could be invested in a far better way this is the kind of signing Woodward would make.

Am not convinced that Rabiot is worth signing. I think Rabiot is a lot like Pogba, not in terms of style - I think Rabiot is a much more rounded player than Pogba was - but in terms of the off-the-field distractions which come with him.
Worst case he should be able to play in the EPL. If he’s bought at market value and plays purely domestically for the first season how can that positive an issue.

You're forgetting ste. Sabitzer had loads of injuries at UTD. He got injured AGAIN at the end of that season and missed the fa cup final that season as well. That's why UTD didn't sign him.
I’m sorry but the first part of your statement is just inaccurate. He didn’t have ‘loads of injuries’. He was signed at the end of the window (when there had already been 20 premier league games played), and then proceeded to play 11 out of the last 18 league games (missing the last 3 through injury), 3 of 6 Europa League games, 3 out of 4 FA cup games and the one and only league cup game (which was the final).
Without going through each game he was here for, I am pretty certain some of the games he missed (before he got injured at the end of the season) he was an unused substitute.
I agree his injury at the end of the season is probably why United opted not to sign him (although for all we know it could have been that we didn’t think Bayern would be reasonable on price and it was also clear we wanted Mount at that point, plus Onana and a striker so lack of money is also a plausible reason why we decided not to sign him) but to say he was injured loads at United does the guy a disservice

Makes no sense at all. Trent and Walker will occupy the same spaces (if anything Walker should be the wing back) playing Foden left forward causes the same issues he’s already having. Gordon LWB is wild he’s not defensive enough to actually play that and it would make him too defensive to play on the last man and make runs in behind which is what he’s good at. Midfield is unbalanced, Bellingham can probably play box to box but you’ve got no one in there to progress the ball and if you ask stones to do that your left with one defender.

I saw old footage of linekar’s first motd appearance and he was a pundit sat alongside des lynam. Not sure how many times he featured like that. Unfortunately he’s such a slick anchor man… very affable and sharp witted that he’s ended up anchoring. It’s got to be the most difficult position on football tv. There’s a reason why most anchors aren’t ex pros.
Why would Trent and Walker occupy the same spaces? Walker is part of a defensive 3. Why would you have no one to progress the ball? You’ve got a midfield 4 all capable of picking up the ball and moving it up the pitch.
I’ve been convinced to switch Saka in for Gordon. Foden isn’t on the left… he’s got Gordon or Saka on his outside meaning he can operate in the half spaces… same as palmer.
I might be tempted to have Watkins up top to stretch the defence and press. Kane off the bench when the opposition defence has tired. That keeps him fresh for any games going into extra time and on the pitch for pens.
Play foden or Bellingham but not both southgate need's to grow some balls

regarding the faux professionalism, I think it started after the reverse happened, where the media wrongly crucified the likes of beckham and Rooney back in the day. I've said this before, but I want UEFA to block transfers between multi-club systems.

Buying overpriced players past their prime and giving them outrageous wages while having a new manager every two years with no underlying identity - that is what has gotten us 8th. Not buying a good young player from a club who might go out and replace him with a better young player.

So firstly you have no idea what they did and didn’t know in fine detail. Secondly it’s not penny pinching it’s trying to fight back against a precedent that could affect the club for decades. Lastly this decision is being made by people far smarter than you and as far as I’m aware lawyers don’t work on transfers so I don’t know why you think this would affect other transfers from getting done.

70m? 200k on a 2 or 3 year deal with no transfer fee would be fine imo if we are going into another season with eriksen and casemiro as potential starter every week we can write off next season
