Inter Milan has been the best team with a 2 striker partnership over the last years. Even made old men like Dzeko and Arnoutovic look more than decent.
Mitchell Van de Gag is the assistant manager & Steve McClaren. Ramsey left and so is McCarthy from the looks of it. So. Van Nistelrooy replaces those two and we have a coaching super group
During yesterdays match, I looked up Southgates backroom staff (given the show he was providing for the nation). Steve Holland is his right hand man, and he's ALWAYS been an assistant, career highlights being working at Chelsea under such attacking masterminds as: Andre Villa-Boas Roberto Di Matteo Jose Mourinho Rafa Benitez Guus Hiddink (OK an exception that proves the rule) Antonio Conte So is it any wonder the England team has not developed an attacking style, let alone basics/fundamentals!
So you've got a CL winner in di matteo, one of the best mangers of all time in mourinho, benitez another CL winner, and Antonio conte won titles pretty much everywhere hes been. Not bad being an assistant to all them tbh that's a cracking CV

Worst case he should be able to play in the EPL. If he’s bought at market value and plays purely domestically for the first season how can that positive an issue.
Who cares who starts outta 2 strikers, both will play nearly every game... we need 3 viable options at 9. Whoever wants rashy and hojlund as 2 forwards needs to lay down, absolutely no link up play between them
This just shows how much howson knows urgate has the 6th most dribbles against in the league 2.1 per game and psg have the ball the most in the league that isn't good thats shocking imagine what premier league players do against him
Glad to hear our club is fighting this. What about the players' rights? His right to a move and earn more money and at a bigger club. Surely, that should also be taken into consideration.
Everyone understands the problem If one team gets knocked out can they move best players to the other? If they meet in a semi can the one that will earn the most from being in the final be allowed to win? Can players move team to team to avoid FFP problems? Owners should be limited to 1 team
Am not convinced that Rabiot is worth signing. I think Rabiot is a lot like Pogba, not in terms of style - I think Rabiot is a much more rounded player than Pogba was - but in terms of the off-the-field distractions which come with him.

You have to be an absolute fool to make a connection between changes at United and the Piers Morgan interview. If the glazers didnt make changes and barely cared about having liverpool v. united shut down, what does Ronaldo throwing a fit on tv do? Make them sell a chunk? You're forgetting ste. Sabitzer had loads of injuries at UTD. He got injured AGAIN at the end of that season and missed the fa cup final that season as well. That's why UTD didn't sign him.
I’m sorry but the first part of your statement is just inaccurate. He didn’t have ‘loads of injuries’. He was signed at the end of the window (when there had already been 20 premier league games played), and then proceeded to play 11 out of the last 18 league games (missing the last 3 through injury), 3 of 6 Europa League games, 3 out of 4 FA cup games and the one and only league cup game (which was the final). Without going through each game he was here for, I am pretty certain some of the games he missed (before he got injured at the end of the season) he was an unused substitute. I agree his injury at the end of the season is probably why United opted not to sign him (although for all we know it could have been that we didn’t think Bayern would be reasonable on price and it was also clear we wanted Mount at that point, plus Onana and a striker so lack of money is also a plausible reason why we decided not to sign him) but to say he was injured loads at United does the guy a disservice
Ste I know you always talk about the importance of panning, I was focusing on Hjumland during the Denmark, Serbia game and I swear he has the most head swivels per 90
Makes no sense at all. Trent and Walker will occupy the same spaces (if anything Walker should be the wing back) playing Foden left forward causes the same issues he’s already having. Gordon LWB is wild he’s not defensive enough to actually play that and it would make him too defensive to play on the last man and make runs in behind which is what he’s good at. Midfield is unbalanced, Bellingham can probably play box to box but you’ve got no one in there to progress the ball and if you ask stones to do that your left with one defender.
3-4-3/ 3-4-2-1 Bellingham, Watkins, Foden Saka, rice, mainoo, trent Guehi, Stones, walker Saka and Trent as the wing backs.(Saka used to be a left back.) Walker, stones and guehi in defence. Allowing stones to step in midfield during build up phases. Mainoo and rice in CM Bellingham and Foden as the two no. 10's behind Ollie Watkins. This formation is inspired by Xabi alonso's Bayer Leverkusen and crystal palace. It has allowed players like Florian Wirtz, Eze, olise to thrive. It would serve palmer, Eze, Foden, Bellingham very well with saka and Trent offering width.
Trent’s best long range assets are the curling cross and the cross field ball from deep in transition. But he’s never gonna find himself in those positions in a double pivot.
I saw old footage of linekar’s first motd appearance and he was a pundit sat alongside des lynam. Not sure how many times he featured like that. Unfortunately he’s such a slick anchor man… very affable and sharp witted that he’s ended up anchoring. It’s got to be the most difficult position on football tv. There’s a reason why most anchors aren’t ex pros.
Why would Trent and Walker occupy the same spaces? Walker is part of a defensive 3. Why would you have no one to progress the ball? You’ve got a midfield 4 all capable of picking up the ball and moving it up the pitch. I’ve been convinced to switch Saka in for Gordon. Foden isn’t on the left… he’s got Gordon or Saka on his outside meaning he can operate in the half spaces… same as palmer. I might be tempted to have Watkins up top to stretch the defence and press. Kane off the bench when the opposition defence has tired. That keeps him fresh for any games going into extra time and on the pitch for pens.

Inter Milan has been the best team with a 2 striker partnership over the last years. Even made old men like Dzeko and Arnoutovic look more than decent.
It's sad to see serie A fall off so much, mediocre strikers look good in that league nowadays
Ugarte on Loan to buy
Todibo
Zirkzee
Alvarez
And any LB really
That would be a cracking window.
Loved del piero
Literally what about sesko from Salzburg to leibzig. Literally the exact same thing
Steve Holland is his right hand man, and he's ALWAYS been an assistant, career highlights being working at Chelsea under such attacking masterminds as:
Andre Villa-Boas
Roberto Di Matteo
Jose Mourinho
Rafa Benitez
Guus Hiddink (OK an exception that proves the rule)
Antonio Conte
So is it any wonder the England team has not developed an attacking style, let alone basics/fundamentals!
So you've got a CL winner in di matteo, one of the best mangers of all time in mourinho, benitez another CL winner, and Antonio conte won titles pretty much everywhere hes been. Not bad being an assistant to all them tbh that's a cracking CV
Lineker actually admitted that he regretted not signing for United.
Was that bell in the chat trying to claim Ronaldo is responsible for the changes in the club? With that tragic interview where he was throwing his toys out the pram? What a twat.🤦🏻♂️😂
Rabiot wants 200k plus if United was to sign him on a 3 or even 2 year deal at 29 it would be a terrible signing. 10-15 million per season over a deal for Rabiot could be invested in a far better way this is the kind of signing Woodward would make.
I want them to get the best possible training equipment and facilities and update our whole club to level and expectations of what Man United is!!!
The glazers have done foock all to upgrade facilities and get the most up to date technology.
AND FIX DA BLOODY STADIUM!!!
We are United!!!! We are a juggernaut acting like a bottom half club….
There’s just so much to do…
I hope it hasn’t gone too far to recover from. But honestly I’m worried!!! ANXIOUS!!! about all this..
If your house isn’t in order, how can you fight outside forces
Wished we played mata as an Italian 10
If anything 4-4-2 became less popular with a decline in long ball tactics… and teams stacking their midfields with 3 players. You’ll not go far if you can’t win the midfield battle.
100% agree with see on Cole palmer
Worst case he should be able to play in the EPL. If he’s bought at market value and plays purely domestically for the first season how can that positive an issue.
In Englands group only one team won one game . All the rest were ties
I cant believe you had a ronaldo stan trying to credit him with the way things look to be turning at the club
Who cares who starts outta 2 strikers, both will play nearly every game... we need 3 viable options at 9. Whoever wants rashy and hojlund as 2 forwards needs to lay down, absolutely no link up play between them
This just shows how much howson knows urgate has the 6th most dribbles against in the league 2.1 per game and psg have the ball the most in the league that isn't good thats shocking imagine what premier league players do against him
Can todibo be loaned in, with an obligation to buy at end of loan. Probably a loophole in those flimsy rules
Glad to hear our club is fighting this. What about the players' rights? His right to a move and earn more money and at a bigger club. Surely, that should also be taken into consideration.
wat about the players rights u ask! really??? he's playing professional football, being paid very well and has a contract!!
Everyone understands the problem
If one team gets knocked out can they move best players to the other?
If they meet in a semi can the one that will earn the most from being in the final be allowed to win?
Can players move team to team to avoid FFP problems?
Owners should be limited to 1 team
Why is everyone saying we will play netherlands haha. one of 6 teas we could play yet and theyve looked awful so have france italy as well
Does this mean that we've binned off the Amrabat idea then ?
Am not convinced that Rabiot is worth signing. I think Rabiot is a lot like Pogba, not in terms of style - I think Rabiot is a much more rounded player than Pogba was - but in terms of the off-the-field distractions which come with him.
Travel isn't what it used to be. Although, I'm not sure it ever was what it used to be. Just don't blink hard, son. You might bleed to death. Good day, and thanks for great insights.
Urgate deal will be funding PSG to get Joao Neves because they'll obviously get a replacement
Can’t see him going to PSG!
Who cares what other clubs do? Especially in other leagues. Does this mean united shouldn’t buy from other top clubs at all?
@@bj11755 yeah that's what has gotten us 8th
Buying overpriced players past their prime and giving them outrageous wages while having a new manager every two years with no underlying identity - that is what has gotten us 8th. Not buying a good young player from a club who might go out and replace him with a better young player.
@@scottsinner7530 a player isn't bad just because he's overpriced and is on huge wages ( which I'm opposed to) so I don't see any correlation between being 8th and having a player who cost 100M! Almost every signing Man united have bought were good or had huge potential of becoming good or even world class before landing at old Trafford. It's not the price, it's Man united!
The manager issue is a valid one that's why majority of the fans were fighting against sacking ETH
If Ruud comes back, give him a pair of boots and get him on the pitch!
Todibo is a Barca and benfica reject, want nothing to do with him
We'll probably face some kind of transfer /ffp sanction/point deduction over this before city do😅
Any reason why eze doesn’t get a look?
Great point , he’s a Player !
I’m guessing because Palace would want in the region of £60mill (considering Olise has just gone for £50mill to Bayern)
Howson definitely went to Kit Kat club 😂
Bank of America stadium (Old Trafford)
I say take the piss out of their rules, get Ratcliffe to buy a non league team somewhere, they sign Todibo and we get him on loan.
Tobido could always rip up his contract - pretty sure sir jim wouldnt take him to court over it 😂
How about doing a new intro without pogba in it
You have to be an absolute fool to make a connection between changes at United and the Piers Morgan interview. If the glazers didnt make changes and barely cared about having liverpool v. united shut down, what does Ronaldo throwing a fit on tv do? Make them sell a chunk? In a time where liquidity is important and interest rates are through the roof?
It seems there has to be a fall guy, if not ten hag is it mitchell?
Ste I know you always talk about the importance of panning, I was focusing on Hjumland during the Denmark, Serbia game and I swear he has the most head swivels per 90
Could we not swap Sancho for todibo
Get wazza in for the England job
turns out its BS roman said we are not
442!!!
3-4-3
Foden, Kane, Palmer
Gordon, Rice, Bellingham, Trent
Guehi, Stones, Walker
Makes no sense at all. Trent and Walker will occupy the same spaces (if anything Walker should be the wing back) playing Foden left forward causes the same issues he’s already having. Gordon LWB is wild he’s not defensive enough to actually play that and it would make him too defensive to play on the last man and make runs in behind which is what he’s good at. Midfield is unbalanced, Bellingham can probably play box to box but you’ve got no one in there to progress the ball and if you ask stones to do that your left with one defender.
3-4-3/ 3-4-2-1
Bellingham, Watkins, Foden
Saka, rice, mainoo, trent
Guehi, Stones, walker
Saka and Trent as the wing backs.(Saka used to be a left back.)
Walker, stones and guehi in defence. Allowing stones to step in midfield during build up phases.
Mainoo and rice in CM
Bellingham and Foden as the two no.
Play foden or Bellingham but not both southgate need's to grow some balls
Rodent has come home!.
Foden
We’ll get lawyers, Win the case. And still not sign him
same old united!! wat has ineos done?? other then interviewing other managers for eth job!! screwing up dan ashworth joining, apparantly sir jim has never heard of gardening leave 🤦♂️🤦♂️ and looks like they still gonna mess about with transfers, offer amounts that wont be accepted and then get desperate!!!

They better not have got lawyers involved. It would be some Man City level BS in my opinion. Rich owners are going to completely eat the game if this crap keeps happening.
Pipe down.
They better not? 😂
Ineos playing stupid games . They were well aware of the situation for weeks they cant sign todibo they knew that and now wasting time hiring lawyers to cry for them . Move on and stop wasting time on 1 target you can sign for cheap cause he part of the multi club model . Time wasting over a mid player more penny pinching
True I heard over 2 weeks ago
Why it impact only to Man Utd? Leipzig and Salzburg been doing it in UCL for years now.. No issue for them..
So firstly you have no idea what they did and didn’t know in fine detail. Secondly it’s not penny pinching it’s trying to fight back against a precedent that could affect the club for decades. Lastly this decision is being made by people far smarter than you and as far as I’m aware lawyers don’t work on transfers so I don’t know why you think this would affect other transfers from getting done.
@@bj11755 you also assume you know what your talking about . Isn't it ironic I'm also a major in European business law yet you claim I know nothing . Its actually very simplistic to understand if you knew what you were actually talking about . You however assume everybody knows nothing and you know everything which is a sign of mental health issues .
@@jackmannion143Jesus you're touchy..he said you don't know in fine detail..which I'm presuming unless you had access to the paperwork then you wouldn't... fancy accusing someone of being mentally ill from what was a rational sensible post..grow up and learn some humility
Sell him to another premier club, with an agreement in place, that club sell to United with a little bonus added on for them. Fuck the rules
These deals are already enormously complicated, doing this would double the complexity. Also you’d inevitably be paying more than market value for the player to get another club involved which doesn’t sound like “fuck the rules” to me.
Fair enough. Enjoy your evening old sport
why would any prem lg team want to help united 😂😂 seems like you to follow the city method and cheat / get round the rules
Fair enough lad, enjoy your morning
Rabiot on a free would probably cost us about 70m with his wages, agent fee and signing on fee
Not up to that amount
@@zeeone4492 I was exaggerating to make the point to be fair. But it certainly isn’t a “free signing” that won’t affect PSR. He’s a good player but also don’t want him coming in and fucking with wage structure we are apparently trying to implement
70m? 200k on a 2 or 3 year deal with no transfer fee would be fine imo if we are going into another season with eriksen and casemiro as potential starter every week we can write off next season
What stops a negotiation between another club to buy Todibo and then sell to us immediately? All for the same agreed value so no one loses out financially and we get what we want!
🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Getting bored of Ste talking about football. I need Head's Gone.
Fire the kid from Niece and he'll be a free agent, unlikely Niece would do this but it could be possible
🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
I love 442 , still think its the best formation
Why would you make ur players train same time when England are playing. ya big grump!
Because we have a slot for training that costs us £100s per week - it isn't like I can just choose another day or time.
Fair enough. As answers go. That’s not a bad reason 😅
