One of my fav courses in KL/ PJ, can't wait to head back up north for a game hopefully soon. Thanks for sharing this video and bringing back memories of this track.
Love the target circles!! Good comeback at the end of the 9. I bet you tear it up on the next video. I've got to learn not to let a bad start ruin an entire round, I often just accept that's just how the rest of the round is going to go. You're a great example of how staying positive is so important.
Hi gen I rarely comment but been watching from very beginning. Since watching my handicap has gone down from 22 to 14 go figure well golf side kick is the other one I watch Thank you keep up the videos
Another outstanding Vlog by Gen. We all love the 'target', but I am also just amazed at your putting and short game skills. those two things make up for a few other little errors. Those parts of your game are so consistent and beautiful to watch.
Aiming at the light pole and actually hitting it from that distance is a tribute to your amazing accuracy. You deserved a mulligan! I noticed "the hand" controlling the ball. I wonder if it works outside of Malaysia.
Target points are an excellent addition Gen! You didn't have the luck on your side for today's vlog but still played even, your approach shots are really enjoyable to watch Gen, Thx for sharing with us!
tomorrow before I go to play going to watch your course vlog - it calms & gives confidence. Can you teach how to draw and fade the ball with woods and irons please ?
Hi Gen, I love this video so much! The addition of target circles helps me have better courses management. and this course reminded me of the time i played with my dad. i was feeling a little homesick and u’ve helped me reduce it :D
Curious if you think most folks over read breaks and find their putts miss on short side? I certainly do, especially on short putts and see you also doing same. Nice finish and like others curious when you head to USA as tour starts in 3 weeks, we’re interested.....
Awesome we’re pulling for you! FYI, I travel (traveled) regularly USA to Asia and find it takes 6 days to fully acclimate to 12 time zones, get your rest!
Have you kept statistics on PPR (Putts per Round) with your different putters? Also, your GRI birdie rate? Similar to your "pole in one" I've had several "PIO"s only my "P" was "power-lines" and we got a free re-tee! It would be a real "bummer" to hit such an accurate drive in a tournament only to be rewarded with a penalty.
Hey Sis, why dont you vlog your favorite golf courses in Malaysia, maybe a Top 10 list, and why. And another vlog of your Top 10 course wish list / bucket list. Cheers fm Hkg.
Wow, Gen. You've really cranked up your driving distance. On the 8th hole, 375 yards you had only 100 into the green - 275 yards! Even more impressive on the 9th, 477 yards and you had 170 into the green - 307 yard drive!! Are these distances accurate? If so, you'll be just about the longest driver on the LPGA tour.
I just follow the distance markers on the ground and shoot the pin. Of course, for instance on the last hole the pin was in front so it was probably about 20 yards shorter as that's a pretty long green and the hole distance is to the centre of the green. I probably hit a good one around 270 or 280 if it gets a good roll but I wouldn't say I hit it 300 unless it got a really good kick! Just being honest! 😄
Gen, what is your go to “Swing Thought” right now? Ps- So fun watching your shot by shot with voice over...I might have to start doing this. So good! 🙌💯
At my home course theres powerlines running through some holes and the ruling here is if you hit the line you get a free shot, and one time i hit a P/W into the power line and it hit some poor kid on the head as he was riding by on his cart (kid was fine) 🤣🤣
honestly you should learn the fade from the tees..You'll be way more consistent though u get less roll with a draw...TRUST me on this.....all the PGA pros use a fade like dustin Johnson
Good finish to that nine Jen. Hope the second nine is better. Love your attitude - always smiling and always laughing. Can you give us an update on when you're likely to be heading to the US - hopefully not for a few months more just yet, as there's way too much COVID still?!
I will be going at the end of this month as the tournaments start in April. Covid and everything is scary but I also can't sit still and do nothing so I have no choice at this point. I want to keep doing what I love doing and Covid is not making it easy so I guess just extra precautions and hoping everything goes well ☺️
@@GenevieveLingGolf Gen, focus on your game, no worries here in Texas with Covid. Our wonderful Governor dropped all mask mandates and all businesses open 100%. Texas is leading the way back to Freedom. You will love it here, don't just play, play to win!
@@GenevieveLingGolf Have you been studying (or are you planning to study) courses that you will be playing in the U.S. and be developing a course strategy? Might be an interesting video to see your approach to crafting your course strategy for a tournament for before the tournament starts. Even doing something like that with the courses you are playing now pre-U.S. could be very informative for viewers. Just a thought. Otherwise, very informative content. I am one of the likely many viewers that first learned of your playing through watching Matt at Golf Sidekick - just FYI.
Dont you get a replay if you hit a light post? “If it is known or virtually certain that a player's ball hit a power line or tower or a wire or pole supporting a power line during the play of specify hole number, the stroke does not count. The player must play a ball without penalty from where the previous stroke was made (see Rule 14.6 for what to do)."
Hey Gen... as soon as you said you were aiming at the light pole... I knew what was going to happen. DOINK... Plus I am giving you a lifetime supply of mulligans.
Hi Gen, I’m completely stressed now! Your last video showed you in a very attractive pink outfit with matching ball tracer and score card. I thought how caring of Gen, she’s made an effort to colour coordinate for us. Today’s video has revealed a stark drop in standards. Black and white outfit, blue ball tracer and, wait for it, yellow score card!! No attempt at colour coordination. My OCD has kicked into overdrive. I’m going to lie down in a darkened room with a damp flannel on my forehead. In the words of my teacher many years ago when I was at school......Must try harder!
HAHAHAHA my skort is actually navy that's why the shot tracer is dark blue and obviously if I made the score card blue you wouldn't be able to see the words so I chose a bright color so that it would be easy to see 😂
I like the addition of the target circles.
Thanks Ben! I'm glad!
One of my fav courses in KL/ PJ, can't wait to head back up north for a game hopefully soon. Thanks for sharing this video and bringing back memories of this track.
Hitting that pole was amazing.
Hahaha until it flew sideways into the OB. Bye bye brand new ball 🤣
I love her videos😍
Nice outfit again Lil G. You always look so fly!
❤️💋
Thanks David!
Love the smiles throughout the video. Good or bad shots you always have a great attitude. Thanks for sharing

Thanks for the target circles, that is a great add on your part.
Yay thanks Glen! ☺️
I really like the addition of the target circles. Another entertaining video allowing me to think about visiting Malaysia someday.
You should definitely visit!!
Thanks for adding the pink “bullseye”! I noticed your bunker shots are like every other swing.....shoulder turn back, hip turn through. Very nice!

lol i was going to ask what's the ruling if you hit the light pole but you hit it and then explained it all thanks
😁😁

I would be good to see videos when you play competitive golf again 🤗 maybe caddie cam.
Course looks super tight and targety
It is a pretty tight course!

Definitely take a mulligan, the odds of actually hitting that pole is incredible. Great round. Loved the target and shot tracing
Hahaha IKR! Thanks Micheal! ☺️
I liked the display of your target on the video. Looking forward to see how you do in the US
What great accuracy la!!! Pole must be magnetic. Put a pole in every fairway....you can’t be unlucky 18 times, right?
Hahahaha maybe I need more poles to aim at huh
@@GenevieveLingGolf the sound it made & your reaction was priceless 😂
Visual aid of target you're aiming at is a great addition, also we need to invent a flashing Tee for you after a ball has been hit off it 😄👍
Hahaha for real!!

All the while my "target circle" is at PIN height. Would love to try your method. Thanks Gen
It can be anything out there, as long as its specific and easy to see for you! ☺️

Yes but I also think factors come into play such as green conditions/how pure the greens are rolling! I leave at the end of this month!! 😊
Awesome we’re pulling for you! FYI, I travel (traveled) regularly USA to Asia and find it takes 6 days to fully acclimate to 12 time zones, get your rest!
Target circles are a thumbs up and Gen you are always allowed a Mulligan on your own channel :)

Gen your first tournament is the same week as the Masters 😀I've found a way to follow you when you play each tournament all the best 🙂
another fan of the target circles!
Played there many times as an expat. Looks like they are still burning trees in Indonesia. Very smoky.
Hey Gen, please play the ugly lies as well, we wanna see what to do..
Gen, know one could that light post/ even if they had a bucket of range balls w them on the tee box😂😂😂 solid aim tho, truthfully 👍⭐️
Hahahah thanks Jeff 😂
Once a while, we all miss Mr. Mulligan in golf lives. LOL

Really enjoying your content. Ty✌🌹

When did you start drawing your new driver? Did you change the setting or made swing changes?
Did some setting changes and weight changes and also just got my swing back to what it was before the lockdown :)
Is there anything about Boise that you miss?
I thought if you hit a light line or pole you have to play it again.
honestly you should learn the fade from the tees..You'll be way more consistent though u get less roll with a draw...TRUST me on this.....all the PGA pros use a fade like dustin Johnson
Gen, you can have a mulligan any time!
Is she still playing?

9:44! wow that was piped, excuse the pun lol
Hahaha yuppp, piped, straight to the lamp pole, straight to the OB 😂😂

Iphone pro max :)

13:53 I don't think her playing companion was happy with his score on that hole, and sent his ball into the water hazard lol
yup. he looked pissed. dangerous as well. he may hit some people with the ball if not careful.
Do you only chip with your 58?
Most of the time!
cute back nine.
unfortunately is the today's vlog buzz word... hahahahah
If I had a nickel for every Mulligan I took...
You'd have a nickel? 😉
@@GenevieveLingGolf ..more like $0.90 per round, hehe.
You hit the "pin" with the driver . That was great , but don't take mulligans not even mental mulligans .

My teaching pro always says stop watching male tour players and watch the women as that is where we are more at!!!
Throw those pings in the Trash AND go back to your 410 PLEASE - You were better out of the rough and fairways and closer to the pin
Be careful where you aim. I would have made you play it as it lies😂😂😂
Haha unfortunately it went 90 degrees right into the OB or I would've wanted to play it as it lies too!
do u get credit from swing caddie???
if so...tells us how2reconize

gonna git 1

Yes if you buy it from my link which is in my description :)
Her Legs drives me crazy!!!
I think you're starting to aim too far right again....good comeback though from the start
How can I add the information on the right corner of the screen, what apps or program you used? Please advise, thx
