I used to work in a 'mainstream' commercial club back in 2000 and after work we would always play Jazz FM HK sets on our PA for the staff. It was a perfect way to wind down after a busy night and enjoy time with colleagues and quality music - far removed from the content we would play for customers. Good times.
@@MikevanLoon LIKE I SAID THE MUSIC FROM WAY BACK WAS BETTER THAN THE STUFF NOW DAYS. LISTEN TO STUFF ON YTUBE LABELLED AS FUNKY HOUSE ITS ALL THE OLD STUFF RIPPED OFF BY SAMPLES AND EXTRA B.P.M. THE BIGGEST HIT LAST YEAR WAS A CRAPPY FASTER PACED VERSION OF SILK. CANT STOP TURNING YOU ON IN THE U.K. YEARS AND YEARS OLD BUT THE CLUBBERS OF TODAY KNEW NOTHING AND THOUGHT IT WAS A BRAND KNEW TRACK. I AM NOW 56 YEARS OLD AND WHEN I WATCH VIDS OF CLUBS FROM TO DAY ITS ALL LOOK AT ME WITH THE LATEST MOBILE PHONE THEY ARE NOT THERE FOR THE MUSIC SCENE THEY ARE JUST THERE TO BE SENE. NO DANCING NOW DAYS JUST POSING WITH PHONES.
@@darrylrichardson7940 YOU DONT HAVE TO SHOUT! I respect your opinion 100%. But times change, there is a complete new generation and music genres go up and down… Biggest hits on the old HK comps were “bad habit” “all I do” “footsteps on the dancefloor” …. All remakes too. And I can name a million more. Do the youngsters need to know directly about music history? Let them enjoy a track first and have them discover where it comes from later… heck, I still discover where tracks come from daily. Isn’t house music for everyone? Wasn’t that the message from the beginning of house? Be happy with your age and knowledge and let everyone in…. A new artist that you like might just arise tomorrow. It's music, it's emotion and not just for one person.
@@MikevanLoon that's true..i'm 61 years old and interested in old and new music, there is no reason to cry...the older music is still here and in your heart , on your vinyl and CD, so everyone have the choice . Otherwise it is sad to recycle old hook lines and vocals but only sad because new songs ideas are rare.... its better to push an old song than nothing...and i like it how many producers bring classics to a newer Generation. hed kandi love 4 ever since the first CD release....
Good mix.
