Yup... That's was i say my alliance.... Less upper tier Siege... More T11 ( to reinforce and Rally), T4 for the buffer and wall... And T1 just fir layers.... T4 are the ones that cushion a good siege rally... Saving thos vulnerable Ranged troops ... Well explained !!😊
Really appreciate the video! I know I kind of challenged you on the numbers but I hope you understand it's coming from the place of someone who's just starting to design his keep, k34 right now, and trying to make a decision beforehand. Just trying to learn and pick a direction from the start, I haven't gone heavily into either t1 or t4, just been mostly lucky to not get too many siege solo in our 2 SvS (and honestly, I hadn't even built a whole ton of ranged to protect, was pretty much pure trap and just starting to transition into style with range), that's why I've been out here for the past couple months basically as long as my server been around watching videos like yours, and I appreciate it. The reports were very interesting it was cool to see you walk through those, and I definitely see the t4 doing work for you. I'm still not sold either way but this has been good food for thought, thanks. I guess if you're down for more debate my main concerns would be: the t1s seem to not be dying BECAUSE you have t4s for them to hit, if derrickdefies is at least mostly correct on combat selection being kind of top down from available targets (until the others get in range). So I'm not sure it means t1s wouldn't die. I'd just lose my t4 and t3 and t2 layers first, which could be a problem if I can't get healed before a second attack. As for kills, they seem about as expected. 25mill t1 v 100mill t4 is about 10x less power, they seem to (with some variance, a lot based on how far the opponent got through your t4 meat shield) get about 10x less kills. But there's probably a whole lot of rally and second and third hit concerns I'm overlooking in this logic, so I certainly see the points your making. If I were to go t1, then if I get hit twice before I can heal those thin t2-t4 layers, I'm going to have a very bad day. Whereas for you, the first hit may get most of the way through your meatshield, but the second hit you still have layers. Gonna keep thinking about it but I appreciate your thoughts on it for sure.
@@natesytacct I think ultimately it’s deciding what will work for you. In the end I built with the advice from ybe who was our biggest and best all star player at the time and he said at the end of the day how much value is there in being positive against a siege solo?
@@tim292926 Yeah I do worry I may end up winning small and losing big if I really try this thin layers stuff long term (to my mind that's another side to this t4 v t1 shield debate because if you go t1 say goodbye to your t2-t4 on that first hit) in DerrickDefies vids. I also don't know if it was him or another trap guy suggested the siege wall for t1 d. But he recommends like 10k ground layers 5k mounted layers on up like ultra thin... Just want to keep thinking about it because I'd rather not dismiss troops when I have so many keeps to build anyway.
@ it all depends on the build and buffs I’ve seen big players try to do the heavy t1 stuff and buff only that and the results are horrifying so it depends on what you want to do but a keep with t15 to be built properly will cost trillions in rss. The issue with big keeps doing a t1 defense is all flats weaken your high tiers too much as there are no percentages to support them. I tried that idea as well 😂
Also since the discussion was t4 vs t1 for the shield when we look at the report closely if I take the t1 kills and multiply by 5 it comes up to about 300,000 kills in the report I looked at and the t4 killed 887,000 so ultimately the numbers still don’t add up even if I took the kills which were 55,000 plus from the t1 and multiply it by 10 the numbers don’t add up to what the t4 killed. Now the t3 and possibly the t2 in that comparison yes that’s accurate but again the main objective of the video was to address t4 vs t1 as a shield against siege and I feel like that was covered.
Respectfully that’s why I don’t do many videos anymore. My point was that t4 will balance out if it goes negative on the siege it will likely be killing higher tiers against the archer if it’s a siege archer and in premium battles that usually happens. Not a comparison of those numbers. The discussion started as t4 vs t1 in regards to a shield against siege hits and in the siege comparisons it’s clear to see t1 did nothing/next to nothing. That’s why I don’t recommend t1 as a shield against siege
Im sorry if I manage to engage some political or religious debate. I really only care about getting better results or not. Would you recommend one to build t4? I am aware of the general discussion and how almost everyone says they have no use as a mass layer, just hope to read your own opinion . thanks
@ I can’t really say definitively one way or the other as players bigger then me recommended this build before I built t1 heavier so it may be a good idea to build those low tiers evenly and check the results in the reports see what tiers are truly doing what and check back with what you find because I would like a clear answer as well

On the range report, youve showed that t4 killed more then t1-3, tho they are 4x more, so I dont know, do the math and its about then same as well.
@@liranamram1715 and on the siege reports?
T4 siege are pointless.
