I build them myself while following the video, because I end up changing the locations of the rooms and the complete interior, and every time I download a house and change the rooms afterwards it fucks up the roofing which is super annoying, so I figuered it would be "easier" to build the house myself instead. Even though it's much more work in the end xD And it takes a lot of perserverance

I myself actually prefer Sims 3 over Sims 4 - Sims 4 is better in many ways but biding in The Sims 3 is far much better I've actually recently gone back to S3 again too. Hi, I really hope you still read the comments under this video, even though it's a couple of years old. I got a question, because I tried building a house with a similar style to this one. Actually your video inspired me, because I love houses like this, that have a kind of victorian style to them. Especially the turrets are my favourite and here comes the question: How do you do the roofing on them? Of course the roof on the very top of the turret is no problem but those middle section roofs, that function as porch roofs and wrap around the turret are a problem for me. If I use the octagonal shaped roof and place it inside the turret like you did at around 1:00 I can't place furniture in the room, because the game sees the roof inside the room as an obstacle. It tells me the ceiling is too low, which technically makes sense, since the roof that is supposed to be only outside is going through the whole turret and therefore through the room. I hope you understand what I mean, and maybe you can help me, because I feel super dumb for not getting it right.
I'm not 100% sure why you can't place items in that room. The only reason I can think of is that in this video I put a normal hipped roof at the very top of the turret. When you place a roof above another roof, a hole in the shape of the above roof will be cut out of the roof below. For some reason domes and octagonal roofs are an exception to this rule. So, if you put an octagonal roof above another octagonal roof, the lower roof won't be cut out. That's the only reason I can think of for why its not working for you.
@@intothesimulation Alright. This roof glitch appeared the whole time for me so I just went without a roof around the turret, even though it doesn't look quite as nice as your building :D Thanks for the help, though.
joshua fitzgerel I was busy with school, and I didn't really have the energy to make videos, it can take a while to make a house building video, a lot of effort goes into it.
I think this is the most awesome house I've ever seen in the Sims 3!
