Hi Jasjeet, as I do not have any certification or experience in aged care, as you mentioned that international students should do a minimum of diploma in this sector. Do i need to do certificate 2 to diploma as one packaged course ? Secondly i have a bach degree from my home country but it is not in the realm of aged care. What would you advise to start with ?

As u mentioned those courses,do we have to study all those courses for being aged care worker like simultaneously. One after another Or completion of Any one of them b enough ? Also i have done bachelors from my home country will that b ok for skill assessment.

These courses have different duration. For international students the best is to do diploma as it has the longest duration (1-2 years)which also means that you can get student visa for that time and can also acquire experience in the same sector in that time.
For skills assessment your study should be in the same profession you choose from the list. If its not relevant it may not be counted! Hope that helps!

Offering employer sponsorship is really up to the employer. The better qualified and experienced you are the better are your chances.
But keep trying to look for jobs and sponsorships even after cert3. I am sure there will be lot of competition to get employer sponsorship.

Which occupation are you selecting from skilled occupation list to apply for PR?
First step of PR is to choose an occupation and get your skills assessed. You are invited for PR only if your skills assessment is positive. I think you need experience to get a positive skills assessment. Best of luck!

Hi..Getting a work visa in Australia is not this simple.
For most work visas you need a sponsorship from an employer which is competitive. For others you have to show that you are skilled means you have both qualification and experience to get your skills positively assessed.

As such for study there is no age limit but definitely for applying PR there is. I think you should be less than 45 years old for PR.
But you have to remember that there will be GTE (genuine temporary entrant) interview when you apply for a course where they may ask about previous study or work history to know why you are changing to aged care. So you have to be prepared for a good answer which could be that you have developed a passion towards aged care or check out youtube videos to know more about how to answer those questions.
You can apply for a course and give it a try , there is no harm in trying. To find a course, use www.courseseeker.edu.au or www.studyinaustralia.gov.au.

I’m in australia
To get invited for PR, you need points which are based on many things like age, qualification, experience etc. If you don't have a qualification, you can't claim for those points. So you will have less points and less overall points to get invited for PR. Thanks

AQF Certificate II or III, or at least one year of relevant experience (ANZSCO Skill Level 4)
So I have 3 years of experience how am I not gonna get my qualification through it ?
@@Mususi16 Hi. As you have mentioned that for your occupation it is either qualification or experience, you may get a positive skills assessment but still you won't be able to claim points for education in Australia for your PR. Do you have any other australian education if not in age care? Thanks

But if you want to study, the short and cheap pathway is diploma of nursing which will make you enrolled nurse and best is bachelor of nursing which will make you registered nurse. Best of luck!

You have mentioned many different options such as child care, age care , social work. You have to first make up your mind which to pursue which is based on your personal interest.
After bachelors in political science, you can do a graduate diploma in social work. To see various courses for international students check www.studyinaustralia.com.au.

I think you should be able to find a job in age care centres and other public health organisations. But also get some experience in this field in India as getting a job becomes a bit easier!

Regarding which course you should do, depends on the purpose of course, is it for seeking job? Then a minimal short certificate should be okay. You can also contact your nearby age care company about what's their minimal requirement to offer a job in this sector.

Hi. Direct PR is not possible but through state nomination it is possible. Again very competitive to find an employer for sponsorship.
You can write to employers or start applying for jobs in Australia and in the cover letter you can mention you need sponsorship.

It is possible to enrol in a diploma at least for international students. Cert 2, 4 will be short. But because you have done accounting you will be asked during Genuine temporary entrant interview questions like why you are changing your stream.If you want to change it really because you like this profession then all good. You will have to provide a fair explanation during your immigration/institute/college interview. Thanks

Hi Sameerarya. Depends on which path you want to take. Given that you already have bachelor's in nursing, you can give the required exams and get assessed as a nurse in India itself. But if you want to study further you can do masters in nursing or repeat bachelor's in nursing in Australia.
Can we get job sponsored, if apply from india
In this case, the competition is very high so the chances of getting sponsored are very low. Australian employer have to prove that they couldn't get someone for work in Australian labour market, therefore they are sponsoring someone outside Australia. So it is very difficult to get sponsored when you are applying from India.
One possibility is to study in Australia starting at certificate 2 and going up to diploma and degree and work in the same sector at the same time. Hope that helps!
