I found with our small biz that the website is harder to get business from as people have to know you're there and go specifically intending to purchase, whereas even though Etsy is more expensive you get people bored and just browsing all sorts of shops and may just stumble upon you, or be shown as a suggested shop etc, therefore giving better traffic. Take into consideration the website costs, domain address, e-commerce fees etc etc and weigh them up against each other xxx
Yeah i've had 8 orders on my website, which actually have come from google not you tube so i think it's starting to get regonised on there, it's just there if etsy get on one, as i'm still on reserve till june which is weird as my funds should have come back to me end of march. so god knows what's going off there .. i'll let my website run for the year as paid up now and see what happens then x thanks for the advice it's appreciated ❤️
@@BudgetWithMe247 I hate Etsy for that. I've had Etsy for 3 years or more and they recently put my funds on hold for 2 month simply cos I had a sale on so sold more stuff than normal! 😒
@@thecannytally yeah i thought it was because i wasn't using there postage so now i have its still there 50 orders later still there on reserve, i've messaged them loads and there reply was thanks for the message check our help section to see why, and how did we do with your enquiry. i've been told to try Folksy which is the same thing, but etsy traffic is really good. my reserve started because i got two orders on 1 day, think of the interest there making with everyone's money !!! crazy x
