I myself transport without gear, it's pointless, if he dismounts an ox you probably won't move anyway because you are too heavy. I always check the map if there's anyone PK on, it shows on bottom of the map.

Transports should invest in a grizzly bear or pest lizard. Specter shoes, assassin jacket. Guardian helmet to remove the bleeding. Off hand orb for specter shoes energy.
