Thank you for your reaction! Dimash is ALWAYS respectful in his duets. He is highly professional. I love how he can embellish every song to keep your attention from the first note to the last.
He's unique as an artist, delicious as a singer, immeasurable as a vocalist, remarkable and admirable as a musician, upright, deserving, righteous and worthy of imitation as a human being.
❗For 13 years I've watched him and have yet to see him set a wrong foot musically. 25 years of study, thousands of hours of practice, years in swim training developing lung capacity and breath control, room temp beverages only after 16 to protect vocal chords and genius level natural ability evidently works. 👋🤣 Thanks Dan.
Dimash always without fail will match the person he's singing with unless he's absolutely required to stand out. This is probably the song he was working on with Nathan Wang in LA. The Golden Panda Awards is a bit like the Oscars but it combined Film, TV and documentaries. It's the first year in China for these awards and this song was commissioned to be the closing performance for the Awards. Like the Oscars this is the creme de la creme of mostly Chinese but also some international film makers and actors and Dimash's long time friend Jackie Chan could be seen in the audience. Dimash is a megastar in China and is usually the headline act for all of their biggest events, especially Chinese New Year and The Spring Festival.
China loves Dimash. Since performing on the Singer competition, it seems Dimash is a part of any celebrations, in China. They certainly let him shine when he performs there.
Nobody works as hard as this young man. They asked him if it was the same 3-4 hours a day, he confirmed, and added that it is 10 before concerts or when he believes it is necessary. Do you know of anyone else doing it for 25 years? Plus swimming, tennis, and martial arts - for breathing. Anyone else to devote your whole life, every minute of it, to become better? This dedication is "eastern" thing, when people understand that given by heaven has to be worked for on earth. Nobody here except leading opera singers lead such life.
Dimash showed how to harmonise with her in three vocal range here: as baritone, lower than her. As tenor, same range as her (both sounds like a single voice). Then as soprano, higher than her. Three types of harmonies, all performed perfectly well done. This arrangement goes with the movies theme, where often actors have to play different characters to match with their role.
I liked hearing your comments about this performance as I have only seen it once before and it was a cursory pass over. You helped me appreciate this performance. Thank you.
For Dimash sharing the stage is always a collaboration with other professionals. It is never about competing, that was way back when he was younger and trying to find his niche. It's why he has a great relationship with the industry organisers in China in addition to his role as Ambassador of cultural relations between China and Kazakhstan.
É por isso que gosto de análises de profissionais da música, pois entendem e valorizam cada trabalho vocal do Dimash , parabéns pela análise bem detalhada, eu adorei. O dueto ficou muito lindo.💖💖🇧🇷
I absolutely adore this. Dimash went from deep baritone to singing in the same range as Wei Wei to tenor and then soprano range with ultra high staccato notes. He always harmonizes well with his singing partners. Wei Wei sang beautifully as well. 🥰🔥 And it must be mentioned: That woman looks and sounds amazing! She is 60 years old! (How? 😳) You kinda talked over the many melismas Dimash sang, when the camera was on the crowd. 😉 (Jackie Chan and Jet Li were in the audience as well ❤) This was composed by Nathan Wang especially for this awards show.
Golden Panda Awards is Chinese equivalent of Oscars. This was the first year for the awards to be held every two years. Join Hands is the theme song for the Awards. She is native Chinese. Dimash of course is not, coming from Kazakhstan. He is still learning Mandarin. Dimash was so great in this duet!!
China love Dimash and his innovation. He is invited to major events as he is enthusiastic and engaged, learning Chinese and pronounciation of the different Chinese dialects.
It certainly is a beautiful, light hearted, happy performance!🤗 I've seen quite a few people react to it. The thing that mystifies me a little is that, as I think back to my time in chiors, we used to call that high part a descant. No one, that I have seen review this, has made reference to that term. Just wondering why😂 Anyway, it's so nice to see that you enjoyed it. Thank you🤗 Has anyone mentioned that this was recorded on Way Way's(correct pronunciation, wrong spelling 😉) 60th birthday?! Lookin' and sounding great!✨👍
if you can... listen to the Duet with Placido Domingo. It's really amazing to listen to these two.. Of course Placido is much older now so his voice is a bit less powerful.... However, the experience is worth listening to. In my opinion it surpasses the 3 tenors performances. BTW... They are both fans of each other. Dimash's original interest in opera was based on the performances of the 3 tenors. It's a joy to watch their first meeting.
Hi a great duet is Nina Simone’s Feelin Good by KZ Tandingan and Jaya. It’s a masterclass of creativity and technique plus it has great production and vocal quality!
The only male falsetto (correct me if I am wrong in using this term) I have heard who rivals Dimash's upper voice is Ivan Rebroff - amazing Russian very deep bass who focussed on traditional Russian folksongs in many of his albums. I was lucky enough to see him in Melbourne years ago. Here's an example in his performance of Nightingale. ua-cam.com/video/yvbNXBh9mUU/v-deo.html.
Rival is a big word, there are more factors to be made then just having the range to achieve that Note. Things like comfortability, breath control, agility, etc. All play a role to determind if someone is truly strong in that range. Havent seen anyone with the level as dimashes yet.

Thank you, so well said. And especially DELICIOUS. This was the word I was looking for. And that he is.
beautiful

Golden Panda Awards is chinese version of Oscars

💥 The Golden Panda is the Chinese Oscar Jacky Chan, (audience pan twice) childhood hero, a big fan of Dimash and friend. Wei Wei 61 !

Dimash beautiful as always. This duet with Wei Wei is one of my favorites❤
I love this performance. I listen to it often.

amazing
This song showcases almost all of Dimashs specialities. Which is also being a respectful duet partner.

On this performance, he uses a voice that is matching her voice.

Dimash is not a natural Mandarin speaker so would not have same pronunciation as Wei Wei whose native language is Mandarin
Beautifull
