CAVE+TOUHOU is all you need to know why Like Dreamer is so good!
You got the Cave style bullet patterns & stage design along with faster paced Touhou style bosses! It was almost like a shmup dream come true for me 😆
I really like the stage with the twin idol cats, great music.
It releases on the 30th here in the United States ugh I can't wait i have Cosmo Dreamer I'm stoked for this

Possibly. I have a review written for Squad 51 and am just waiting on a promised update to allow native capture to get some footage. There's also Ray'z Arcade Chronology. Should be quite a quick one to do since I'm already familiar with the games so it's just a question of exploring the port properly.
But for sure, Castle of Shikigami 2 will be on the cards not long after it gets here!

No Squad 51 review? :D Bought Cosmo Dreamer on your recommendation. Took a minute - I think the Casual mode plus Stage Select to start is a bit of a bore - but after unlocking Trial (Arcade) mode I am hooked!

Squad 51 won't let you record from the Switch. Very weird. I have the review written and recorded and I'm just waiting on the devs to update the game so I can grab some footage.
By the way, do you know how you're able to see this review? It's set to unlisted (or at least it was) and you're the only person who can somehow see it!

There are two big issues with the art style that I'm not sure I can overcome...

Yeah, I wasn’t a big fan of the Cosmo one but dealt with it. I think I’ll pass on this one.

This is the kind of art we see made with MS Word and Powerpoint
Blue bullets on blue background... Can that be changed (not a big problem for me usually jw)?
Cosmo was such an awesome game on all frontsthat I couldnt help be almost a little disappointed that Like Dreamer wasn't even better- which is quite ridiculous as Like is a very good game, its just that it's release pointed out to me again imho how awesome Cosmo was.However I'd recommend them both as they are awesome games.
I know what you mean. My very first reaction was also mild disappointment that it wasn't immediately and obviously better than Cosmo Dreamer. But the more I played it, the more I came to appreciate the differences. Having now played both a fair bit, I'd find it hard to say which is better - they're both great!
