You can argue sword and sorcery Vs high fantasy if you want but both fall under the larger fantasy genre

@@user-ul9zg5tw8pthe people who think the Percy Jackson books are better than LOTR are delusional. While I do enjoy most Rick Riordans books they are not as good in my opinion as any of the LOTR books including the Silmarillion. They just feel more realistic. Of course a man who lived through both world wars would be able to explain the pain and exhaustion of what his characters experienced.
@@mordred1333 you are correct but you can also see it like this LoR is high fantasy meaning it has 0 ties the the real world while Percy Jackson is low fantasy meaning it's based in the real world I personally think most low fantasy books could never come close to high fantasy because the world building of low level is never there
